  1. At this point Houser needs to get some starts. Stretch him out on the fly and see what happens. He has earned a chance.
  2. That's 3 bad starts in a row for Davies at a time they really can't afford them.
  3. Has given up 9 runs in his last 12 innings. On edit....make that 10 in his last 13 innings. I'm a huge Davies fan, but some regression was probably in the cards. He's not an ace, but is likely a solid mid-rotation guy. Those guys are going to have outings where they don't look great. I agree regression was inevitable but if this continues they have a real problem. It's to the point were we have zero effective starters right now.
  4. Has given up 9 runs in his last 12 innings. On edit....make that 10 in his last 13 innings. And he just walked the pitcher.
  5. Yelich now up to a 13 game hitting streak I think and at least 2 of the last 4 came on the last AB of the game.
  6. It was a gift but the 20th inning produced a run.
  7. We cant seem to hold anyone decent to less than 5 runs.
  8. Now up to 17 straight scoreless. Should we start a pool? Im going with 20.
  9. Bucknor is proof that once you in the club it matter not how much you suck......your there for life. A bit like Supreme Court Justices.
  10. 2 for 2 with the double plays. Wonder if there has ever been 9 in a 9 inning game by one team? on edit. 7 is the record in a 9 inning game but there is an interesting caveat. San Francisco Giants vs Houston Astros May 4, 1969 Houston had 7 DPs in 8 innings and won the game.
  11. This one is off to a less than spectacular start.
  12. Have to give the Padres pictures a lot of credit. I don't think there was a single pitch tonight that was in the middle of the zone. Everything was on the edges.
  13. Live by the upper cut(launch angle)...die by the upper cut(launch angle)
  14. Don't think I'm going to be able to stay up and watch all of this one. This thing could still be going when I wake up in the morning.
  15. It's amazing how often commercial breaks in a baseball game lineup with commercial breaks on regular TV.
  16. Pillar has sure been a PIA this series. 6 hits already and he is a sub .230 hitter for the year.
  17. To me it's not are the pitchers is good as the Cubs or Dodgers or anyone else. The real question is are they as good as they can be. And on that count I don't think so. Do we have exceptional arm Talent.. probably not. But there is a lot more than we're getting out of them at this point and it's a combination of mechanics, pitch selection and game planning.
