When the back flexibility goes away you're pretty much done in baseball.

Currently 16th in MLB with RISP at 0.249 I know it's not the whole story but I can't find another stat that would reflect percentage of runners at third with less than 2 outs that score

Man there struggling to get runners from third home with less than two outs this year.

He obviously has a much better change up than Corbin probably ever did but Burns had a much better cutter so far. Both are good at generating movement to the corners of the zone

I can't believe they pitched to him. Granted the Orioles are pretty bad but any coaching staff worth a lick would have advanced scouted this and just handed him first base.

Having coach hitting at the high school level and working with a lot of young kids there's things I like to see and obviously it's different at the MLB level where those guys all have superior hand eye coordination but swing paths and the mechanics of hitting are things that tend to jump out at me.

Wouldn't mind seeing Uribe add a cutter or a four seamer to go with his sinker and slider. Something that he can work the top of the zone with when guys are sitting on pitches down.

I agree with giving guys that have been in the league a little bit some extra rope but Priesters so young and I just don't know that you want to push the envelope too hard yet.

At this point I'd rather see Frelick hit third and Hoskins at clean up.

In this case it was less about pitch count and more about the fact that everything coming off the bat was a rocket including one off his glove. He was throwing some pretty fat ones and getting away with it.

Murphy really has a poor feel for handling pitching staffs. Honestly you could have a magic 8 Ball and he probably be just as accurate.
