Didn't get to watch any of the game but looked at the last 2 innings of play by play on gametrack. That ump has some splainin to do. Radically different strike zone for the two teams.

To me Black looks like another in a long line of guys that could tear up minor league "throwers" but had mechanical problems that got rapidly exposed against big league "pitchers". Frelick Turang and Chourio are the first guys I've seen come out of our farm system in a decade that didn't have massive issues with their front foot.

I remember NFL teams doing that in the 70s by sending them to Green Bay. Glad those days are gone. -

Being a 20-year-old makes pouncing back a lot easier as well. My 60-year-old ankle would probably be squawking at me for a week after that

While I can't completely blame him for today's game he certainly gets a share of the credit. Certainly not in the upper tier of managers in MLB.
