5. Two homers for Hiura now: one to right, one to left.
6. Noah Zavolas aims to keep his solid run going (2.72 ERA over last 39.2 innings with 42 Ks) and end Biloxi’s 3-game skid: 1 - Hamilton - SS 2 - Howell - 3B 3 - Longo - CF 4 - Dillard - DH 5 - Palma - LF 6 - Lutz - RF 7 - Spanberger - 1B 8 - Rios - C 9 - Cantrelle - 2B X - Zavolas - P

10. The Shuckers finally get to take the field, after a day off and two rain outs. 13. The Timber Rattlers seek a 4th consecutive victory, with Joey Matulovich looking to emulate his last start (5.0 innings, 1 earned run, 8 Ks): 1 - Frelick - CF 2 - Wiemer - RF 3 - Warren - 3B 4 - Valerio - DH 5 - McGee - 1B 6 - Zamora - SS 7 - L. Castillo - LF 8 - Hall - C 9 - Pinero - 2B X - Matulovich - P
14. - RHP Peter Strzelecki promoted from AA Biloxi Shuckers to AAA Nashville Sounds
15. I agree with this (i.e. getting Taylor's bat on the 26-man NLDS roster) and would go with Brett Anderson as the 26th man, if he's healthy. With Cain, Garcia and Taylor, I don't really see the marginal value of including JBJ for defense. Unfortunately, JBJ has an OPS of .496 against righties and .563 against lefties this year, so I'll prefer we avoid a repeat of the Schoop playoff experience.
16. Joey Wiemer has homered in 5 of his last 8 games. He leads the Timber Rattlers, which try to win a 3rd straight: 1 - Frelick - CF 2 - Valerio - 2B 3 - Wiemer - RF 4 - Warren - 3B 5 - Gray - DH 6 - Rodriguez - LF 7 - Zamora - SS 8 - McClanahan - 1B 9 - Hall - C X - Knarr - P
17. Colin Rea’s been on a solid 3-game run (1.06 ERA in 17.0 innings with 19 Ks). He takes the mound as Nashville tries to end a 3-game skid:
18. Eduardo Garcia’s gotten off to a fabulous start in Carolina, with 10 hits in his first 19 at-bats. He leads the Mudcats, who seek a second straight win:
19. Keon Broxton makes his first start since joining AAA Nashville and Josh Lindblom goes for his second straight winning start, as the Sounds travel to Gwinnett this week:

23. That idea (putting Wiemer directly into AA next year) brings up a conundrum the Brewers will likely have in the outfield. Ordinarily, several Wisconsin OFs have done enough to move up: Carlos Rodriguez, Je’Von Ward, LG Castillo, Wiemer, Gray. But we’ve also got Mitchell, Howell, Lutz and Lujano in AA. That’s a crazy number 9 outfielders who belong in AA to start next year.
24. Dylan File makes his 9th start of the season at AAA Nashville, seeking his second straight win, as the squad tries to bounce back from a close defeat yesterday:
25. Biloxi tries to bounce back from yesterday’s loss. Jesus Castillo is on the mound going for a second straight win: 1 - Howell - CF 2 - Hamilton - SS 3 - Dillard - 1B 4 - Palma - DH 5 - Lutz - RF 6 - Devanney - 3B 7 - Lujano - LF 8 - Cantrelle - 2B 9 - Diaz - C X - J. Castillo - P
