I’m going to preface this by saying I haven’t had an opinion about hiura all year. I get the reasons why he hasn’t come up
but I’m going to insert myself into the conversation now. I’m done with the rowdy’s and Anderson of the world. I don’t give a crap about defense and left handed bats or positions. Screw it. Let hiura come up and dh for a week. Let’s see if we can catch lightning in a bottle. Those guys had a chance and they are bad. Enough.
Oh don’t worry. I can match ya
also on my monasterio point. I’m not saying he’s a corner stone of the future. I’m just saying as of September 8, 2023 he is a huge part of what this team is trying to accomplish this year
Just trying to get through life is hard but I’ve always remembered this advice a wise old philosopher told me
”if you are going to be a fat baseball player, you better hit like one”
No way is cc coasting. He looks as nervous as a parent watching their kids in the state championship game every time they show him in the dugout. It’s relatable
looks like we are getting to the inevitable stage of the cubs overtaking us. They are just better than us. But we still have a pretty substantial lead in the wild card. So we should be ok
but who knows with this team
This past few weeks has been so weird with this team. I will admit they are very hard to analyze/predict. They could easily tank the playoffs or walk away with the division
I will never understand why monasterio takes a beating on here this year. Maybe because he’s not a heralded prospect. But for the year 2023 he actually hits the ball safely compared to most everyone else on the team.
