  1. There is a lot of competition for that. It’s pretty much everyone except for woodruff
  2. Is lauer only pitching two innings today
  3. Woody did his job this second half. He’s one of the very few who can look in the mirror the second half
  4. Going to Boxberger again. Man. Good luck Milwaukee
  5. I’m probably in the minority but I would be just fine if they stayed pat with the exact same 6 man rotation next year. I don’t know if lauer and houser are still signed through next year or not though. but they almost have to remake the whole bullpen. Ugh
  6. They have no one chasing them. They are fine
  7. What? the brewers at no point are ever going to be tied, let alone lead the wild card race and it’s been like that for months. This is the lamest fakest playoff chase in history get rid of the three wild cards
  8. You’re right. I thought peralta hasn’t been more than a glorified long reliever after the break. But he did have some good 5-6 inning starts. He was decent
  9. I agree with this. Stick with the starters and hope they bounce back
  10. If burnes last name was hiura and he had a two week stretch like this counsell would have had him put down and sent to a glue factory
  11. So if he finishes 7th in cy young voting his trade value will go down. Or even 8th
  12. Burnes with another Alexander type start
  13. Since the all start break you could pretty much mix and match all our pitchers other than woodruff. Just a bunch of blah blah blah garbage
  14. Do you honestly feel like the Padres and Phillies are sweating the brewers at all? They aren’t worried about them
  15. Burnes giving up 3 runs in the first four innings and a bomb home run. Pretty standard stuff these last couple of months
  16. You can basically substitute any of these pitchers the second half. What can you do. If anyone thinks we are going to get a bunch of consistent starts and bullpen performances the rest of the year you’re kidding yourself ashby is not going to save the world. Hell even burnes isn’t an automatic good start either. This team has one decent pitching performance followed by a crap one and one good offensive performance followed by a crap one. They are a .500 team and I don’t think playing .500 is enough to make a move
  17. This would be the most unlikely sweep of the year if they pull this off i felt we were in trouble when the cards swept the Yankees awhile ago. Maybe we can turn the tables on the Padres if we win today
  18. Alexander has had some decent starts at least three giving up only 1 run or so and his first start was technically better than burnes yesterday. No one is arguing that burnes and Alexander are the same pitcher. Not even in the same stratosphere (to be honest I don’t even know how you get to some of these tangents) Its actually quite entertaining but burnes is rocking about a 4 and half era for two months now. That is pretty Alexander like.
  19. The pitchers were actually awesome to begin the year. Like lauer but those days are way gone. I mean is Alexander really any worse than Ashby or houser. He’s really isn’t this year the bullpen has definitely been worse Like way worse theyve settled into middle of the pack road which is pretty overrated for how people talk about them
  20. Burnes has been one of our worst starting pitchers since the all star break. He’s contributed to the collapse im just saying everybody blaming the offense like the pitching has been great is short sighted. There is enough blame to go around
