Woodruff has been a bright spot since his return from circulation thing. Devin has been pretty consistent. The rest has been uneven to poor. They just have. Burnes hasn’t been close to an ace the second half They have underperformed and get way too much of a pass I’m not saying they are poor or horrible but they have contributed a lot more to the garbage we see on the field than people make it out to be I mean we are really that unlucky that Ashby got hurt that’s why we are bad Heck it’s probably helped us

They are overrated. They aren’t close to one of the best pitching staffs on baseball like they’ve been sold. They aren’t. they get a pass way too much. They aren’t terrible. But overrated and unreliable. and my god. We baby these pitchers and everyone of them gets hurt anyways. Just pitch them to win games. Maybe we have learned a lesson

Everyone complains about the offense. I get it but this pitching staff gets a pass. A lot. Overrated as heck. They always give the lead right back. It’s got to be frustrating for the offense sometimes.

No. I’m saying I’d rather have burnes start. Where is he? Instead after getting a lead he gives up homer than hit after hit to give it up right away but it really wasn’t much different than any of our other dudes. But to be fair he did eat up some innings after the damage was done. Counsell wouldn’t let any of the other pitchers do that

It will be interesting if that is on the table this off-season. I wouldn’t want him to go but I could also understand it. Sell high

Actually burnes gave up 3 in the first 4 innings or so. I’d rather have an Alexander start. He’s done better than that multiple times. I apologize to jason i do give props to burnes for trying to get us through 6-7 innings in a losing effort. Save our bullpen to get maybe 2 out of the next 6 games with everyone saying that’s the best we can hope for and we are still in this thing

One hitter wasn’t going to do it they needed the players they have to perform. They didn’t and they haven’t.

Stearns is good at his job. Despite what people think. I don’t blame him for this year. The players just didn’t perform. It’s on them
