    When somebody gets scherzer and trea turner at the deadline without giving up any major league assets in return that just isn’t right. It completely skews the competitive balance for that year Maybe make the trade deadline the end of may and be done with all this tanking nonsense Play with the team you got and improve it in the off-season

    I agree. I’m not worried about the starters. And our offense is what it is. The bullpen was a big reason we are we are. And we can’t be blowing leads in the playoffs. Somebody needs to step up

    I did see Pedro Martinez on mlb network talking about, not brewers specifically, but this type of situation. He was adamant about pitchers should be pitching. Not taking a big break I’m more conservative and I’m with counsell in giving our power arms a break. But we will see I will say this though. For the first time I would be disappointed if we don’t win the first series.

    The giants would have been better off if the dodgers were playing the cubs or pirates then us this weekend It’s our prerogative to do what we need to do because we have more important things to worry about. Like roco said. All that matters is that we get through these games as healthy as can be. But as a giants fan I wouldn’t be too happy about the brewers glorified spring training weekend

    I’m no more thrilled then you are about losing lots of games recently but if we are being honest CC hasn’t managed any of the games this week with winning as the top.priority. Just look at the lineups…..the innings that the starters have pitched…..and who pitched in relief in tie games . Maybe we would have lost them all anyway but bottom line is we haven’t really tried to win once we had it clinched. I do get this as he is pulling starters really early especially with decent leads and we end up blowing them. Losing Williams hurts. The whole bullpen dynamic has changed
