  1. I was hoping reds might give us another day to drop magic number But it looks like the Cubs are about to be the Cubs
  2. To what? Super duper double secret Cy Young candidates? Actually woodruff has been a little better than I thought since all star break. Around a 3 era. Today will raise it some. Peralta. I’m worried about This team has a serious chance to win the whole damn thing. I’m predicating on the big three being dominant. Maybe we can win it all if they are just good
  3. Had to happen sooner or later with all the showboating rounding the bases... Yeah. I wouldn’t say it’s getting out of hand. But at some point enough is enough There is a line between celebrating and just being a jerk. At some point there has to be a little sportsmanship left in the game
  4. This is going to be a tough series. Phillies can hit Woodruff has definitely been uneven since all star break
  5. They've played a bunch of series over the last month that they should have won. They haven't. Yes, on paper they have a cake schedule. But they kinda suck too, so none of those series are going to be easy for them. They are a heck of a lot easier than they’ve been playing. Now maybe the Padres will play up,to,their talent and beat a lot,of,good, teams. But I think the reds might just get this by default Phillies are playing better too so they could catch them too
  6. The reds are going to make the playoffs They are going to win a bunch of series to end the season
  7. Narrator: "He did not prevail." Exactly. The baseball gods understand that Lester in no way deserves to beat those two.
  8. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED!!!!! What an unbelievable call by you. Wow I hope this ends the cardinals playoff hopes. Screw them.
  9. Is Lester really going to beat burnes and woodruff in back to back starts against us Cripes
  10. It wouldn’t be shocking. They do have a 7 game home stand coming up with 4 against the Dodgers and 3 with the Reds. Those games will have a significant bearing on the playoff races. The cardinals schedule is pretty tough
  11. I am but perhaps you'd like a mirror? Chill out dude. We all know nobody knows how to watch a game like you
  12. I get feeling pessimistic, but the sheer certainty in your "sky is falling" posts is actually kinda funny. It's hysterical the amount of chicken little, sky is falling on the board in general and the IGTs in particular. I mean, I get the emotional fragility but the doomsday cheer leading is beyond absurd. You'd think some of these people have never paid any attention to a baseball season. Relax
  13. I would use a fourth starter, and it could be Houser or Lauer depending on who the opponent is and what happens between now and then. It might also be different if you find yourself down 3-0. The Brewers have been using a 6 man rotation for most of the season, meaning all of the starters have usually been getting 5 days of rest in between starts. To suddenly change that to 3 days rest sounds kind of risky to me, unless the plan is to limit the starters to no more than 6 innings and rely more heavily on the bullpen. Once you go to a 3 man rotation you’re kind of stuck with it for that series. The “assuming Peralta returns to normal” is a big assumption. There is some basis for concern that he has hit a wall. Even if he bounces back with some good outings, I don’t think I would want to push it by starting him on 3 days rest in a LCS. I would prefer a rotation that would have Woodruff and Burnes (in some order) in games 1 and 2 and 5 and 6, Peralta in 3, and then Peralta (on a short leash) in a possible game 7. So are you saying in a five game series you’d go with houser/lauer also
  14. If we make it to a 7 game series is everyone cool with houser pitching a game four (assuming peralta gets back to normal). Or would you just go with the big three
  15. I’m assuming they are going to put admaes on 10 day. That would be the smart thing to do
  16. This makes the day feel a lot better after that Graham mertz debacle today Magic number keeps dropping
