This just sucks to not have Yelich these last 16 games. I would have been supremely confident of getting to the postseason. That being said this team put themselves in a good spot. I don't know how they did it, but who cares. Time for playoff arcia to show up. 2018 Lo Cain to show up. 2011 Braun to show up. and Hiura and Woodruff to just show up in a uniform

Ive said they got to get to 88 wins to be a lock for the postseason. 10 wins in their last 16 games. That's doable. But you still need to play well. They have to win 2 games in everyone of their last five series to do that. it wont be easy. Now if they figure out a way to sweep another team, that changes things dramatically. Same as if they got swept Need one game at the minimum this weekend

So for a week we had the ideal situation of putting pressure on the cubs either by playing them or by playing before them and winning. The cubs didn't respond too well and we've made up 5 games since last Friday The cubs can now turn the tables by winning their games before we play this weekend. Lets see if we can handle it Come on pirates do us a solid and win one damn game

If they want any shot at the division, a sweep is ideal, but 2 of 3 is a must. Taking at least one game is essential to maintain WC striking distance. Agree, except for the last part. They could get swept and still be in good shape for WC. Heck, the way the Cubs are playing they could still be in the lead. Not that I want to find out, so let's not get swept ; ) cubs are a completely different animal at home. And its against the pirates. I would be ecstatic if the pirates won one game. But a sweep is more likely. We really need to win one game this weekend.
