  1. Woodruff got his ass kicked hard today Counsell with the gravy game philosophy. 7-10 so far in July I believe. This was going to be the month to make some noise NL wildcard will interesting. Will 9-10 games over .500 make it? That’s what we are going to need. Looking at our schedule 38-23 to get to 90 wins seems a bridge to far
  2. Derek jeter is one of the few guys I don’t have a problem with. I get why some people don’t like him or think he’s overrated. But he fits the definition of a HOF. He actually is a legend and he just had so many big plays and hits. He deserves it. Of all the juicers I would still put bonds in because he was a HOF before the juice. After the juice he basically became a science experiment. But I do get why he’s not in But if you are going to put in bagwell. Then you might as well throw in all the steroid boys
  3. Harold Baines being in is a joke. 38.7 WAR. Are you kidding me? Nice ballplayer, but nowhere near Cooperstown worthy, imo. Whoever is on the "Today's era" committee should be removed. Baines topped out at 6.1% of the vote when it was in the hands of the BBWAA. Never a truly elite player. Finished ninth in the MVP once, tenth another time. This re-opens Pandora's Box. Braun, for comparative purposes, is at 47.3 bWAR coming into tonight. There's been no bigger Ryan Braun fan than I, but he's not Cooperstown-worthy right now. He'd need a late career resurgence to even be in the discussion, imho; and then, there's the steroids issue, and that cringe-worthy presser. But his resume absolutely blows Baines' out of the water. Braun won an MVP, was second and third in the vote in two other seasons. Five Silver Sluggers. Baines has the counting stats, and I get that a long, steady career is a feat in and of itself. But come on. I guess I'm funny. I think the Hall of Fame should be reserved for the true legends of the game. Ruth and Gehrig. Cobb, WaJo, Grove, Young, Dimaggio and Williams, Gibson, Aaron, Mantle, Mays and Clemente. Those guys. Ever since the Veteran's Committee let Chick Haffey in (thanks, in no small part to his buddy Frankie Frisch), the Hall has lost a lot of its credibility. Tbh, it seems like the NBA and NFL have lowered their standards too. Nfl hall of fame is a joke. Basketball is weird because it’s not the nba. It’s every basketball league. Even high school coaches

Mariano Rivera is a no doubt hall of famer. But in the grand ole history of baseball the only player to get 100% of the vote is a relief pitcher. Come on If you were on your little league field and you had to pick your teams with all the hall of famers this years class would be the last guys picked
  5. Lefty starter tomorrow, you’ll see Aguilar. Cool Grandal Huira Yelich Aguilar Braun Moose Arcia Pitcher Cain Who’s Cool. We need to play him more
  6. I know Flower Mound. I'm in College Station finishing my masters degree, then moving to Dallas in December. What’s the freaking deal with your cheerleaders. That’s some weird stuff down there
  7. I had to look up who that was. Then double check in case I got the number wrong. I'd ask why Oliver Drake couldn't do that for us, though I'm sure all 47 teams he played for last year would also like to ask. So it was a screwball? Thought I remembered Drake through that. Fernando Valenzuela
  8. I don’t see any issue with following other baseball teams. Isn’t that the point of being a fan of a sport It helps with context and just entertainment In general every game matters the same. It’s not like wins later in the year count as two. It’s just personal preference and how they enjoy sport
  9. Again, to those who keep bringing this up. Where he gonna play? Moose been struggling a bit, maybe give Moose a break or platoon and ride the hotter one? Other wise your not sitting Huira for him. I mean I assume they are not that dumb. I'm glad Shaw is having success in the minors and the Brewers dont rush it and try and squeeze him in somewhere. Let him have a strong end to the month then re evaluate. Two left handed hitters sharing the same position isn’t a platoon. And how do you figure out who is hotter if both players are getting inconsistent playing time? Shaw has to stay in the minors until September unless or until someone gets hurt or traded. Shaw will come up here and stink. I don’t think he would be a good pinch hitter. And if he takes at bats away from hiura then I advocate packing up the franchise and disbanding for sheer idiocy
  10. Honestly, I think counsell was doing something about the clubhouse. I have no evidence of that. But I’m making an educated guess. Perez leaving. Arcia being benched. Something seemed weird about it Ok, let's go with your theory. Aguilar swinging a really hit bat and he isnt seeing the time he should. Dude had been red hot, why waste him? Aguilar had a hige presence in club house too, so then by your logic that would explain Aggy not playing much. Perez Arcia Aggy seemed like the life of the club house to be honest...why would Counsell wanna screw with something that's been very good to this team. Not many if any teams at least it seems have the same type of cohesion the brewers do. Maybe he was done with happy f*** around time when the team and particularly those players were playing like horse crap. Maybe it was a wake up call
