Here’s what the brewers need to do. When we have guys on second and third and no one out. Get them in. You will be ahead of the game when you watch these other teams play. That’s what we were good at in the middle of the year

There is. Massive difference between people attending games. You don’t have to be a hardcore fan to attend games. That’s an experience that everyone enjoys im talking more about discourse around the water cooler, talk shows. Watching on tv. Following scores. Knowing the players. I just don’t think there is any of that nowadays. People talk about their own team and that’s about as far as it goes like I said. ESPN would have spent days talking about this series in 2004

Baseball sure has changed in the past decade or two. Red Sox Yankees playoff series would have taken over the national discussion on every channel Now it’s just a regular series with not much hype. I do wonder if the overbearing use of advanced stats when taking about baseball has turned off the casual fan on these talk shows etc. I think the casual baseball fan is almost nil nowadays

Just be careful what you wish for. All the angst about trying to get home field advantage for the playoffs and the first series will effectively not have any home field advantage other than batting last 3 out of 5 games

To be honest pro sports does its best to mitigate free markets. Anyone who follows college sports that last few years and sees what absolute chaos a real free market does to sports leagues would lose their minds if this happened in mlb nba nfl leagues. Just thank god that a team like Milwaukee can still have the best record in baseball just imagine if any baseball player can leave at anytime to any team at any point in the season to the highest bidder with no rules in place. Or there was no draft and anyone can just go where they want believe me. It can be a lot worse than what it is. A ******* helluva lot worse. Sometimes people should just leave stuff alone.
