  1. They're playing like they're a) scared or b) expecting to lose.
  2. Come on...I'm not what you'd call a Brewers goggle wearing member of the site like some, but even I think it's too early to say "they are done" trailing 2-0 in the top of 4th. I really have no complaints as to Wolf's pitching thus far.
  3. He knows who pads his pockets this series. He's making an extra attempt to "stay neutral" whereas he's leaning towards the Cardinals as to ensure he prevents any gray area of favoritism...
  4. Doug will re-sign him and quote his HR's and RBI's as to why he belongs back on this team as the starting SS. I can see it a mile away.
  5. Now a Craig HR. Everything LaRussa touches this series turns to gold. They deserve it, someone said it best just a bit ago.
  6. This is why I wonder how anyone can go into this game today saying they're "confident" in a win. How can you be with this offense?
  7. Thank you, Randy. You bailed out Rickie's pathetic attempt to field an easy ground ball.
  8. i don't know about that. 9-9 head to head this year and i remember seeing a graphic recently that the brewers have more than held their own with the cardinals over the past 3-5 seasons. if i remember correctly something like 9-9 this year, 8-10 the year before, 9-9 the year before, 7-11 the year before, 10-8 the year before, something like that. I understand the season series have been close, but I think the tides turned when they swept MIL at Miller Park in the last few weeks of the season.
  9. This team just has our number. It's why I was actually rooting for the Cardinals to NOT make the playoffs, no matter how it affected our home field advantage status. I knew they were not scared of the Brewers and actually were the better team. My worst nightmare is about to come true.
  10. Craig Sager wasn't lying with the wind blowing out to RF. Wow, did that ball carry.
  11. If he's on the team next year, I will go nuts. I know, stand in line.
  12. Must win. They go down 3-1, no way they run off 3 straight vs. STL.
  13. They finished 39-42 on the road, including being 4-5 at Busch. I know you're not confident, but what you said is not true. Uh, I disagree. Every other playoff team finished the regular season at least 5 games over .500 on the road; most were close to 10 games over.
  14. This team has proven this year that for whatever reason they cannot win on the road. Until they prove otherwise, I have no confidence in them getting a big W at Busch.
  15. What was that little nugget the TBS crew threw out there...the team that wins a 1-1 matchup in Game 3 has won 72% of series...there's one for stat geeks to chew on. Brewers not looking good. Maybe I might have a glimmer of hope if they could win games on the road, but we all know the story there.
  16. The worst part is Kotsay's HR most likely justifies his being in the game in RRs mind and his "hunch" to start him proved to provide a positive. He will obviously neglect the defensive part because that didn't work out so well...
  17. Randy Wolf is pitching the next game, right? Yeah, confident is not the first feeling that comes to mind. Scared, is my first thought.
  18. It looks like our batters are winding up in their swings facing Motte. There's no way they touch him in this series, he's horribly in their heads now.
  19. Motte is filthy. Wow. If the Cardinals weren't the better team I'd probably feel a lot worse than I do.
