  1. That's the Prince I know and love.
  2. So reading this any team that doesn't go 162-0 doesn't have it. You need not only "expect it," you've got to get it. Silly.
  3. If Seth gets out with no runs can he get his real last name back for at least his next IGT appearance?
  4. Especially on the road. I'll call that SeriesFinale Instinct
  5. Wait, but the fact that they "only" took 2 of 3 this series doesn't mean they have this mysterious "Killer Instinct" though?
  6. Is "Killer Instinct Ratio" one of the tiebreakers in the National League?
  7. Nothing like swinging at ball four JJ
  8. Give the Cubs some credit here...they've had some nice, timely hitting today and Dempster did much better than expected.
  9. Yeah, this seems worse than usual though, especially considering this is the third game of the season and the result of the first two.
  10. I wasn't wailing about Bush before but he shouldn't have faced Soriano after allowing Fontenot to double at 100 pitches. The way the bats are today three runs seem insurmountable at this point--two maybe, three's a tall order.
  11. A lot of over-reaction from the board today...5 BB through 5 is pretty ugly but this is hardly the most horrible pitching performance I've ever seen. I'm not saying it's good or even acceptable but I'm not gnashing my teeth here. I'm more concerned right now about the Brewers' lack of pop today.
  12. Yeah, I'm satisfied they kept it to one. I don't like the way they got the one, but whatever.
  13. Unbelievable, on four pitches Soriano was hopeless so far this season, you gotta go after him
  14. Jeez, it's not even the fifth inning yet, Dave. Well, if they keep the damage to 2 or 3 runs here I feel confident the Crew can get those back before Marmol comes in.
  15. Third game of the season and we're benching hall already. Jeez, how about benching JJ for Counsell while we're at it
  16. Always hate to see a pitcher you roughed up initially settle down
  17. I saw that picture yesterday and saved it for later photoshopping
  18. Reminds me of when some guy (or gal) goes in to get a tattoo of Japanese characters that they think means "Strength and Honor" and it turns out to mean, well, "Happy Panty Fun Party"
  19. Gingerman was always my favorite pre- and post- Wrigley/Metro spot
  20. Maybe I'm paranoid but I wonder what "extremely vocal" means. I've cheered for the Brewers at Wrigley many many times and there were always groups of young male Brewer fans being "vocal" ie, acting like obnoxious drunk loudmouths. I'm not saying that's what happened here, I'm just saying I hope it wasn't since we gotta keep that moral high ground! I guess I always believe you should be firmly supportive of your team but also respectful at a visiting stadium; cheer for your team but not make a spectacle of yourself, etc, which is what we all hate about Cubs fans coming up the road to MP: they can't seem to keep it in their pants. Anyway, that was awesome that Mark A hooked you up.
  21. Matt Cain's agent is probably on the phone with league GMs as we speak. I still can't believe the Crew got swept by these guys last August. That was definitely the season low point.
  22. Oh man, it's the "Please Stop Believing" singer. I'm starting to love his dulcet off-key tones.
  23. At least our arrogant/confident (based on your perspective of course) guys don't mail it in
