I'm not gonna fault Linebrink for wanting to be with his wife and newborn child. He's not the reason the Brewers have been having problems the last week. That called strike looked wide, I was hoping for a really big inning here.

Wow, watching the Brewers cough up a sizable division lead has been so much gosh-durned fun! That said, if they actually make it fun in August and September (ie, winning more games than they've lost and keeping--or taking back--the division lead), I'll enjoy it. But I've never liked watching the Brewers lose and I certainly don't now. What are you basing this on? And better yet, would you say this if Cordero converts his last 2 saves? I'm sure you wouldn't. I think you've answered your own question here. -
I was glum this afternoon in my kitchen getting a glass of juice right after the game and my wife asked me what was up, so I told her. She goes, "What, they play 162 games a year, right? So that's 162 potential days to be ruined? By something you can't control? That's ridiculous." Perspective.

Right now would be a lot more fun if we were the ones chasing the Cubs and not vice versa, certainly April and early May were great, but it's not gonna warm the cockles of my heart any more if we're 3 or 4 back in September -
