  1. I've gotta admit, I enjoyed this one after reading the NSBB thread for the Reds-Crew game yesterday: www.northsidebaseball.com...hp?t=42719 "IT'S OUR YEAR!", etc.
  2. Is that the Cubs' version of The Happy Youngster?
  3. The real question is, what obvious dumb nickname will the LCD fans stick him with after he has a couple bad outings. To my discredit, I think I know. At any rate, I'm just happy they got even a reclamation project for a guy about to be shown the door. I just hope they don't decide that a pennant race is a good time to try and reclaim him.
  4. They're loose alright
  5. Cubs chewed up that pen tonight, too
  6. Good, rip their hearts out, Reds
  7. 4-1 Reds C.mon Crew Pick It Up Pick It Up http://www.spencerblack.org/pages/gallery/d/339-1/skanking.jpg
  8. Well, that could've been worse I really hope we don't sry up now and they chip away...that sure seems to have happened too often this year
  9. Pile 'em on, I'd love a breather before tomorrow's marathon
  10. Somewhere, Daron Sutton frowns in disappointment. I'm smiling though.
  11. Bless this wisdom...the season is six months long. This is just goofy fun after a hard couple days (and weeks). Either way, regardless of Mr. Estrada's comments, I do think these games are just as important as the ones in late September.
  12. OK, we've cursed the Cubs, started to exorcise the Brewers' demons, now it's time to summon the spirits and Bless the Crew as they embark through the choppy waters of the chase stretch. At the least, just looking through these pics has soothed the savage beast after watching the Brewers play the last couple days http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/1982alcs.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/aaronsign_44.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/yount9-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/rollie707.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/gb406.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/miller1-0329.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/miller7-0329.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/chalet814.jpg

  15. If it happens and Linebrink wins even one game for us this makes this the greatest trade in Brewer history over the past 25 years. The Sexson and Overbay trades certainly hold as much weight
  16. I've spent my day today watching the Brewers chump a loss to the Reds and then went to my dentist for a deep-scaling gum treatment. At least the dentist gave me novocaine.
  17. Starved for wins, the natives turn on one another
  18. Between the two losses, the puzzling trade, and the now-diminished lead, this has been one of the most aggravating 24 hour periods I've experienced as a Brewers' fan. I was so numb to it for so many years.
  19. I'd really have been OK with the Brewers not making the playoffs this year. But I really wish this team hadn't jumped out to that lead this year and given us hope, only to squander it away to let a hard-charging Cubs team, no less, take it away. That stings, badly.
  20. Well, that was a wild one A wild, maddening, depressing one.
