  1. Yeah, the second I saw Shouse's name I had a bad, bad feeling
  2. I find the IGT's fun, because when other people are frustrated it is kind of cathartic and makes a person feel more validated in their own frustrations, and thus less frustrated. Ding!
  3. Oh, I meant one more inning here but I like your thinking slide!
  4. I must say, I find the negativity around here astounding for a 1 run and now tied ballgame. They had left 15 men on base.
  5. What's the thinking here? That CV will be available on Sunday? Why not give hime one more? Or does this stem from the 23 earlier in the week?
  6. For the love of Sixto Lezcano can we put one across here
  7. Well done CV, sorry the O is failing you tonight
  8. We may not be saying it, but you know we are all thinking it. I am really amazed I haven't accidentally let one loose yet
  9. Remember last year when we weren't in 1st with a winning record? Trust me, I remember...but that doesn't mean that leaving RISP signaling to the bat boy to toss them their gloves from the field at the end of an inning on a maddening basis is any more acceptable.
  10. Remember last year when everybody denigrated El Caballo's RBI numbers as a team stat
  11. That out of the way, this Cappy news has me feeling http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  12. Being impressed with Verlander's performance and embarassed by the Brewers' showing last night isn't necessarily exclusive of each other. Verlander pitched fantastic, no doubt about it, but he isn't Superman, and while the no-hitter was much much more Verlander's doing than the Brewers', things like 7 strikeouts from the 9-1-2 people moaned about last night seem to indicate some connection to the Brewers' lineup if not the batting order. No-hitters aren't a one-way conduit. Hence the "embarassment" last night. And a little this morning. I really got it on the train into work today with my Brewers' hat.
  13. A loss I'll never forget is much worse. Heh. And something tells me we'll be consistently reminded when Verlander retires to much fanfare in 20 years and another 25 when he goes into Cooperstown-"Verlander pitched the first no-hitter of career against the Milwaukee Brewers on June 12, 2007..." Not to get too optimistic in the vent thread but hopefully that'll get us thinking, "Huh. 2007. The year the Brewers made that surprising playoff run right before the championship years...."
  14. And even if the Crew wins the World Series this year I still won't feel bad about being embarassed tonight about them getting no hit. Frankly.
  15. Something tells me we'll get the chance yet this season
  16. Would it honestly make everyone feel better if the Brewers got one or two hits but Verlander still went the complete game? Yes. Not much more, but yeah.
  17. Cubs and M's head into the 11th. I'd love to see Seattle pull it out but the way the day's been going I don't count on it.
