  1. Jeff Cirillo would look so good in this lineup Don Money would too
  2. I may be wrong but I interpreted his initial post to mean injured players should play through injuries if possible … that’s why I responded with the Vukovich example from 1982
  3. Koenig makes me nervous. I’m going to pause the game & come back in 15 minutes. He hasn’t looked sharp in the early season - even if he has gotten good results.
  4. The JABO movie highlights what a gamer Pete Vukovich was for the 1982 Brewers down the stretch & into the playoffs … going deep into games with a painful torn rotator cuff
  5. And Quinn Priester … I thought his five innings of one run ball in his initial start was impressive too
  6. I will miss tomorrow night’s game as I’m attending an out of town wedding with my wife There is a good chance that my iPhone will allow me to glance at the game intermittently via the MLB app … if I’m stealth
  7. I don’t mean to be a Negative Nellie but I’m not sure Cortes will pitch again this year I will be surprised if he doesn’t end up with a Tommy John surgery I believe he has the same injury he had late last season
  8. Has anyone other than Peralta gone 7 innings in 2025?
  9. He is uber talented & seems like a great young man
  10. What about Ashby & Hall? If everyone gets healthy - we may lose some bullpen pitchers because of no options I hate to keep subpar players (aka Capra) because they have no options
  11. I went to college with Cecil Cooper’s nephew - LaVan Cooper. He was on our basketball team. We enjoyed going to Arlington Stadium to see the early 80’s Brew Crew.
  12. It would be awesome if Quintana goes 7 or 8 & saves the bullpen
  13. I wonder if Quintana has broken a sweat tonight He looks remarkable Six shutout innings He will be a great mentor to some of the younger starters
  14. Misiorowski is an enigma to me He doesn’t excite me (yet) because of his wildness & % of walks He may be a great one & prove me wrong I’d deal him for Coby Mayo in a heartbeat
  15. I was hoping we would trade for McMahon in the offseason … but I was thinking Tyler Black & another prospect
  16. Yes … I remember that as well … & maybe Cecil Cooper or Paul Molitor “back in the day”
  17. We should do a poll on how many games into the season before Chourio walks It may be an intentional walk …
  18. I love the sound of the ball coming off Chourio’s bat. i played through college & even into my late 20’s … not sure I ever hit a ball as smoothly as he does
  19. I agree that he hit it too hard … I’d prefer to wait a few more innings before bunting in that situation.
  20. Monasterio is struggling in Nashville too. Durbin is coming around offensively but I’m not sure he can play 3rd base at the major league level. Even if we lose Capra (which I don’t believe will happen), it’s probably time to look elsewhere.
  21. I agree. Was that a Murphy decision or does he allow his players to make decisions on bunts?
  22. I watched “Just A BIt Outside” this afternoon. Excellent movie (documentary). Love that early 80’s Brewers team.
  23. I’ll sleep much better if I stay up until the Cubs lose
