  1. I so wish Wisconsin had a baseball team. Any chance they reinstate the baseball program at some point?
  2. If we lose this game where we had a 5-2 lead … we will trail Chicago by 5 games We need to rally & win this one Too many close losses recently Defense is letting us down today
  3. I hope we stand pat & let our young guys play out the season. If we trade someone - I hope it is Peralta … & possibly Hoskins. I believe we have enough starting pitching depth to overcome the loss of Freddy. I also believe Hoskins peaked early & we could plug in another TBD player to fill the 1B position & be fine. We certainly lack power & likely won’t win the WOrld Series this year. That said, we are well stocked with young talent to improve & compete for several years to come.
  4. I’m dealing with Vertigo (again) tonight Watching TV is challenging - I may follow along here on the forum so please offer descriptive updates when big plays happen
  5. Agreed … I don’t easily flush a loss like this one … add to Arizona meltdown for “most disappointing” & unnecessary losses of the season. A few of those can be the difference in division winner & wild card OR no playoffs. Maddening is the correct word. I’m trying to avoid being grumpy.
  6. I still can’t believe there was no World Series in 1994 … I remember being supremely disappointed in Selig & MLB. I believe the Expos had a great record when the strike began & ultimately led to a cancelled season because of greed. Still disturbs me 31 years later.
  7. Agreed … let’s hold steady with the team we have unless an other-worldly bat becomes available unexpectedly
  8. I finally found my prediction (toward the bottom of page 1 in this thread). I had Milwaukee at 90-72 & NL Central division winners. So, I’m on pace record wise, but I did not expect the Cubs to improve so much. Should be a fun 2nd half. I still don’t want the Brewers to trade away quality prospects for a short-term bat. I hope we roll with the team we have, replace Monasterio & Cameron with ??? & Perkins, hope for improvement from some of our regulars, benefit from starting pitching depth, & squeak out a division championship. I’m not sure this is the year fro a World Series Championship (or appearance), but I’m happy to be wrong!
  9. Since we are 1/2 of the way through the season, I decided to hunt down this topic to see how all of us did with preseason predictions. After 81 games … we are on pace to finish 90-72. What was your original prediction? Would you like to make a mid-year adjustment?
  10. Where is the preseason thread where we all made win total predictions for 2025? I believe I proposed 90 wins … I honestly can’t remember Who would have thought when we were 21-25 that we would reach midseason with a record of 45-36 on pace to win 90 games again What a great time to be a Brewers fan … this is one of the best run MLB teams year after year
