I believe you are smarter than that - Jekyll & Hyde to me refers to his inconsistency from start to start he recovered nicely today after another poor first inning Happy to entertain you -
He’s certainly fun to watch & fits the scrappy Brewers player profile My favorite is Ortiz - but I love Turang as well Turang’s improvement over 2023 is one of the most dramatic one year jumps I can recall

Now Freddy looks un-hittable … like the best pitcher in baseball … totally dominating the Cubbies I prefer this version of Peralta over the first inning version… nice turnaround Hope he goes 8 innings today & allows the bullpen to rest

Peralta with a Jekyll-Hyde performance gave up two hits & a walk in the first inning including a HR to start the game … nothing since great recovery - frustrating inconsistency

Unpopular opinion … I would not mind if the Brewers traded Peralta at the deadline I understand that we are short on quality starting pitching - but Freddy needs a reset & he’s not improving in Milwaukee I know this won’t happen - but I wouldn’t miss him at all I love his personality but dislike his inability to pitch to his level of talent I prefer to channel surf when the Brewers are on defense with Peralta on the mound - he is so disappointing to watch this year Even his “good games” - like his recent 6 inning with no runs performance - are not great pitching as he is pitch count is far too high Yes I’m frustrated but this is genuinely how I feel - I believe we’re better off without him on the team I accept that I may be alone in my opinion - which is fine with me

I’m sure all the Peralta apologists are ready to defend him … but I dread the games he starts more than any of the “no name” starters we’ve been using. He must be tipping his pitches again OR worse … Counsell must know his tendencies well enough to advise his team what to expect. I guess another possibility is that Peralta is simply not very good these days. I surely hope we come through & win this series against Hendricks who has pitched quite well this month.

Once again - Murphy makes a poor in game decision He gets an A+ grade for team chemistry He gets a D grade for managing the actual game His personality is over the top like-able His game management is extremely questionable -
Sometimes we get too aggressive & cute … That is a bad look with Contreras at the plate in a tie game

I would love to see Myers get through six innings with only 3 runs allowed for a quality start. We need to get Steele’s pitch count up this inning & get him out of the game. I like Milwaukee’s chances against the dreadful Cubbies bullpen.
