  1. He’s had much fewer AB’s than Winker I hope Taylor is given time to get back on track We need RH power
  2. Can Peralta go 7 innings tonight? Who pitches after him?
  3. I’m still shocked at how much value Ruiz had in that deal … netted us Contreras & Payamps Apparently the only way the A’s would part with their catcher was for Milwaukee to include their speedy unproven CF prospect Estury Ruiz Everybody won that trade
  4. Yes … they parted ways with a player that is going to benefit us for several years A good three-way trade
  5. Atlanta is an incredibly good team & equally good organization How could they let William Contreras get away? He is - along with Yelich - the Milwaukee offense
  6. We better hope we win another 1-0 game tonight
  7. I’m not sure I understand your response It seems every time I post, you reply with some serviceable comment I think it’s funny so I decided to reciprocate
  8. Great American Ballpark is not a serviceable MLB stadium
  9. I can easily think of 5 - maybe 6 -players on the current 26-man roster who could go away & I would celebrate: Winker, Tellez, Tapia, Perkins, & Mejia for sure I don’t recall a recent team with this many weak, bottom of the roster players I’d rather see Jahmai Jones, Keston Hiura, Abraham Toro OR a few trade acquisitions on the team in place of any of the above players In time - Tyler Black & Sal Frelick too I also wonder if Urias will ever figure things out - if so, he could also be an improvement

  11. I hope he gets right quickly - I have always liked his arm when healthy
  12. It would be awesome if - like Adames & Yelich - he got red hot … we MUST find offense somewhere
  13. Do you consider Milwaukee’s current batting lineup serviceable?
  14. Okay - thank you I personally believe that 90+ games is plenty of time for Winker on a one-year contract that expires at season’s end He has been terrible … not hitting for average or power … simply time to move on despite his pre-neck injury track record I hate to see Milwaukee wait until the trade deadline to make this change … those three weeks - against great teams - could be too costly
  15. Please explain - from your perspective - “how” they’re different
  16. My intention was to suggest that we desperately need to address our weak offense & the players who should be at risk include Winker, Tellez, Tapia (DFA candidates) & Perkins (option candidate) Sorry I wasn’t clear - & I’m aware this is an “injury” thread
  17. Based on all or most of the comments today - it appears only one bullpen arm is needed I still believe Winker, Tellez, & Tapia are legitimate DFA options & Perkins could be optioned back to Nashville Additionally - Monasterio or potentially Owens could be optioned if Urias or Toro catches fire & returns
  18. Pretty awesome that we only need one arm in the bullpen because of good performances by those currently on the team - excluding Mejia When Woody is healthy, Houser may bump to the bullpen … but I fear the magic may run out for Teheran & Rea before too long Peralta has also struggled as a starter much of this season … not sure he would fit well in the bullpen though as his worst innings are usually the early innings
  19. Yes - I agree & mentioned Justin Wilson as a replacement option for Mejia The minor league report had a reference to Wilson suggesting that it will likely be a while before he is ready to join the Brewers bullpen … that’s why I was think Strez
  20. I am aware of what you typed here … you didn’t answer my question - Does Winker “deserve” more time? He’s done NOTHING through 92 games to suggest he belongs on the roster THIS year
  21. How about Winker this year? Does he “deserve” more time? What are some better AAA bullpen options? I’m concerned that once we get past our “A” arms (Peguero, Payamps, Williams) that we may be in trouble - although Bryce Wilson has been good too I surely hope Peralta has a strong 6 innings + in him tonight
  22. Are you suggesting that “struggling” players aren’t allowed on the Brewers 26-man roster? If so - we may have difficulty filling out the roster No argument that Strez hasn’t pitched well recently - but his track record over the past year + has been solid Yelich was awful for three + years & was in the lineup almost everyday The same has been true for Winker this year - Adames too (until recently) So … looking at Mejia & several of the under-performers who have been added to the bullpen recently, it was my projection that Strez may return to add depth in the next few weeks … but I could be wrong 😬
  23. Two pitchers that could arrive shortly: LH Justin Wilson RH Peter Strzelecki
