I’m a tad nervous with McCullers pitching with the lead. I hope we can get through these next four innings & get the win. It would be incredible if McCullers can go four innings here. -
I assume we may see Lance McCullers & Bryce Wilson in long relief in this series

I appreciate & understand limiting innings for our young pitchers … but four innings & 65 pitches seems too conservative to me. This game is far from over. I prefer Murphy’s “win today” approach.

I’ve heard it takes a while to fully recover from hamate bone surgery. I hope Vaughn’s HR is a sign of his getting closer. If he can hit for power in these final 62 regular season games, I like our chances much more come October playoff games.

I loved Freddy when we was a Brewers player. I will love him again if he returns at the trade deadline. For tonight, I hope he stays in the game for us customary five innings & gets raked to the tune of 10 ER. This could lower his trade value & scare pitching needy teams away. Thus, he returns to Milwaukee where guru Chris Hook makes a few minor tweaks & “presto” - we have another solid arm for the stretch run.

I like this kid! Pratt is finding his way at the major league level. Fun to watch. He should be a steady contributor for years to come.

Freddy’s greatest attribute as a pitcher is he stays healthy & can eat innings (usually five) every six days

I’m guilty of being frustrated by Yelich playing everyday & hitting in the lead off spot. Then, by chance, I noticed that his stats are eerily similar to the $60M per year man - Kyle Tucker. Finally, I see a contract that will age worse than Yeli’s contract. Misery loves company. It excites me to know that Dodgers fans are as frustrated by one of their highly paid players as I am by Yelich’s underperformance & high salary. Some night call me petty.
