He is having an excellent year … but I still don’t enjoy watching him most innings for fear of his loading the bases or throwing too many pitches. IMO … an “ace” goes six regularly & more occasionally.

I was watching live … the last pitch was a ball … earlier in the count, a strike was called a ball. That said - he was wild overall & once again deserved to lose. What a terrible year he’s had in NY. I wonder what team will take a flyer on him 8n 2026 & for how much. He’s cost himself millions of $.

If not for his personality & ability to build camaraderie with his players, Murphy wouldn’t be anyone’s choice for Manager of the Year He is not good in the actual game management portion of his job I fear he will be exposed in the playoffs … even if he wins another award
