  1. I’m a tad nervous with McCullers pitching with the lead. I hope we can get through these next four innings & get the win. It would be incredible if McCullers can go four innings here.
  2. I assume we may see Lance McCullers & Bryce Wilson in long relief in this series
  3. I appreciate & understand limiting innings for our young pitchers … but four innings & 65 pitches seems too conservative to me. This game is far from over. I prefer Murphy’s “win today” approach.
  4. Should we be concerned with Miz only throwing four innings?
  5. I certainly understand & my comment was more in jest.
  6. I’ve heard it takes a while to fully recover from hamate bone surgery. I hope Vaughn’s HR is a sign of his getting closer. If he can hit for power in these final 62 regular season games, I like our chances much more come October playoff games.
  7. Apparently I’m heartless … I like your post except for the last sentence.
  8. What a great call by Brian Anderson on Vaughn’s home run: “Oh my goodness … He’s gone Hank Aaron on us!”
  9. What is the origin of your metaphor? Who is swinging dead cats? And where? And why?
  10. I loved Freddy when we was a Brewers player. I will love him again if he returns at the trade deadline. For tonight, I hope he stays in the game for us customary five innings & gets raked to the tune of 10 ER. This could lower his trade value & scare pitching needy teams away. Thus, he returns to Milwaukee where guru Chris Hook makes a few minor tweaks & “presto” - we have another solid arm for the stretch run.
  11. With tonight’s double, Murphy announces that Yelich has settled the issue of who will lead off for Milwaukee for the next three seasons.
  12. I like this kid! Pratt is finding his way at the major league level. Fun to watch. He should be a steady contributor for years to come.
  13. Freddy’s greatest attribute as a pitcher is he stays healthy & can eat innings (usually five) every six days
  14. I hope we put a 10 spot on Freddy & then trade a low level prospect for him before the Mets leave Milwaukee
  15. Soto’s $750M contract is worth roughly 50% of the Brewers franchise value
  16. I’m guilty of being frustrated by Yelich playing everyday & hitting in the lead off spot. Then, by chance, I noticed that his stats are eerily similar to the $60M per year man - Kyle Tucker. Finally, I see a contract that will age worse than Yeli’s contract. Misery loves company. It excites me to know that Dodgers fans are as frustrated by one of their highly paid players as I am by Yelich’s underperformance & high salary. Some night call me petty.
  17. Why isn’t Lance McCullers listed on the bullpen chart?
  18. Wild Bill with a bomb to help us sweep the Marlins … 🙌👏💪⚾️🔥
