  1. I have been ready for Taylor to play 4 games a week since the season started If Cain remains on the roster (due to salary & history / leadership intangibles), he should be a late inning defensive replacement “only” Cain’s offense is currently so bad he simply cannot afford mental mistakes I’d love to see the Brewers upgrade in CF … & soon
  2. MLB made a last minute change to allow a maximum of 14 pitchers on the 26-man roster … I believe through May
  3. Yes, I agree … I would have listed him too had I reviewed the Nashville roster. I wrote my post quickly & relied on my memory … but your point is valid & well taken.
  4. I like this move. I believe there are three options in Nashville that are better suited for the big league club than Hiura: Turang, Mathias, & Brosseau. Turang as a LH bat would also be an upgrade over Peterson. Mathias & Brosseau are likely better RH options off the bench than Hiura. All three have greater positional flexibility. This Hiura demotion makes sense to me … assuming Renfroe becomes an option at 1B should Rowdy need a day off. I know everyone (including me) loves the clubhouse influence of Suter, but he would be another that might benefit from time in AAA to work out his early season struggles.
  5. The last seven batted ball events for Christian Yelich have had an exit velocity of over 100 mph
  6. Over the last week … Yelich was 9-for-23 (.391) with nine runs scored, two doubles, three home runs, five walks and eight RBIs.
  7. Fun Stat: The Brewers are tied for the MLB lead in HRs with 35 ⚾️
  8. This makes me SO HAPPY! I was working & unable to watch most of the game … but I kept checking the box score & was thrilled to see he continues to make progress If he & Adames remain hot … with Urius back … & Tellez mashing - we aren’t so bad offensively! I hope Cain can pick it up & I believe Taylor will hit as he gets more at bats … pretty good all around results after 26 games
  9. Good for Rowdy! After years of cycling through first basemen, we may finally have one who contributes at a high level for the next 3-5 years He’s easy to cheer for too Not sure if I’m more excited about Rowdy or Lauer!
  10. Is trading Woody our best option for acquiring another strong bat? The Brewers can’t extend all of these pitchers … that may be our best option ( but I don’t like it at all) I prefer to trade a few of our top prospects (Mitchell & Small) if they can get a good return I hope we keep Frelick & Turang
  11. I hope Woody will lock in & get through six or seven innings tonight … no more home runs He may be our fifth best starting pitcher this year … which is amazing
  12. It would be incredible if Urius provides a spark to the Brewers offense to complement Adames I’d love to see Yelich have two or three good games back to back rather than an amazing game followed by an 0 for 4
  13. I will defer to Counsell & Stearns, but I’m both surprised & disappointed that Brosseau was sent down In my opinion, he has outplayed & is more versatile than Huira This decision makes no sense to me … Huira has far too many strikeouts I’m ready for Urius to return … we certainly need another strong bat
  14. Cardinals are losing again in the 7th … so that could ease the pain of a shutout loss to the dreadful Cubbies
  15. I believe Turang will be our starting 2B in 2023
  16. Turang OR Dahl would be an upgrade from Nashville … Turang could play CF (on occasion) + SS, 3B, 2B … making Peterson expendable & possibly Cain too
  17. I’m a huge Tyrone Taylor advocate Now would be a good time to prove me right
  18. I wouldn’t mind seeing a 3-run HR followed by a little Haderade
  19. I like Renfroe here … recent power & we need a big hit Sadly, he popped out
  20. I understand that perspective … no damage done I hate that we had to use Gustave there Suter hasn’t had enough “clean” innings to my liking Maybe I have unrealistic expectations
  21. Suter has not been good this year He adds so much to team chemistry He’s the 26th man on the roster as far as added value He needs to have a few quick innings - he’s ruining a good start by Burnes & may allow the game to get out of reach
  22. Cain may not hit a ball that hard all year I hope Tyrone gets the majority of starts in CF with Cain as the late inning defensive addition - Taylor over to LF & Yelich off the field
  23. With the Cousin IL assignment, I hope Urena is DFA’d I’m concerned Gustavo or Milner may get demoted I’m sure Jackson will head back to Nashville now that Caratini is healthy
