  1. There are rumors (and I can't find the articles now) that BSN is developing a streaming service. If that comes to fruition remains to be seen.
  2. The hedge funds aren't asking others to short the stock as well to drive up their profits; they don't announce anything. They're doing it independently. Their trades may be publicly available information, but they aren't promoting them. Pretty sure hedge funds publicly bash the company they are shorting. Citron has been generating these reports for 20 years.
  3. Famed GameStop bull 'Roaring Kitty' is a Massachusetts financial advisor: This is the guy who started it.
  4. How do you know that they didn't take positions before they broadcast their intentions on the internet? How do you know that there wasn't backroom conversation offline before they posted or about when to sell? Because they said so? Because it's on Reddit? They certainly don't have to pool their money for it to be illegal. The person who proposed it had positions already and is mainly holding. He made an argument, people thought it made sense, and it took off. There is no sell signal - they are not coordinating when to sell.
  5. It'll be interesting to see why. I was always under the impression the union was for the DH because it moves bench players role to a starters level role. It also helped aging or defensively challenged players. Seems like a given it would replace a bench role with a higher salary job for each team. It also helps give other players a chance to have a few lighter days to boot. Can't think adding playoff spots would be the problem because of the added money. Supposedly MLB was offering it in exchange for expanded postseason. But MLBPA wants these items negotiated separately, as they are open to both but feel they are separate issues The Union feels that expanded playoffs will reduce salaries or at least slow the growth in the long term because teams don't have to try as hard to get a play-off spot NL Central
  6. Dear Season Seat Holder, The anticipation of the 2021 season is building, and we cannot wait to see you at American Family Field. With Opening Day just two months away, we are preparing several attendance capacity scenarios. In the event we open the season with reduced attendance, we are offering our Season Seat Holders two options for games played with limited capacity. The first option is to receive a revised temporary seat location for the 2021 season, allowing you to attend all games currently in your season ticket plan. Your revised seat location will follow social distance guidelines approved by local health officials and be determined by your current ticket plan, account tenure and current seating location. The possibility exists that your revised location may be in a different section, price category or seating level of American Family Field. If the price you paid for your original seat location is higher than the price of your new temporary seat location, you will receive a credit for the difference that can be used towards tickets to any 2021 or 2022 regular season game. Once you receive your temporary re-assigned seat location, you may choose to opt out for the games impacted by capacity restrictions. The second option is to place the value of your season tickets for impacted games into an account credit, which can be used to purchase single-game tickets to limited capacity games. Season Seat Holders who choose this option will receive priority access for any remaining seats available. Due to limited capacities, tickets may not be available for every game in your ticket plan. Tickets will be available to you during the presales at the Season Seat Holder rate, and the credit can be used during the 2021 or 2022 seasons. Please follow the link below to select which ticket option you would prefer for the impacted games. I'm not letting you vote for me. Please note that once we are given approval to open American Family Field to full capacity, you will receive your original season ticket seat location for all remaining full capacity games in your ticket plan. Please make your selection by Friday, February 5. If we do not receive your preference by February 5, you will automatically receive the second option of account credit. An option to receive a refund for any games impacted by limited capacity will also be provided at a later date. We will continue to pass along any details regarding the 2021 Brewers season as we receive them. Thank you for your feedback and support as a Brewers Season Seat Holder. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your account representative.
  7. Is that the article that said Cleveland should rename themselves the "Fellers"?
  8. A 4 year $72M ($18M AAV) contract is $10M, $12M, $18M, $18M, who-cares-about-the-amount option with a $4M buyout, and $10M deferred to the 2030's. The Brewers could do this even with Cain's salary next year.
  9. I think a little of the criticism Ted gets should go to McCarthy and his coaching decisions.
  10. I liked your roast beef explanation better though
  11. Club announced the deal, one year major deal for $900,000... Not sure if that changes anything with guaranteed or not. No, it does not. It is not guaranteed.
  12. Wednesday 1/21: Nobody’s Safe w/Brady Laber: Episode 25 of Nobody’s Safe w/Brady Laber is now available. My guest is #Brewers pitching coach Chris Hook. “Hooky” talks about his time playing for Bill Aker with the @NKUNorseBSB, pitching in the big leagues, the Florence Freedom and more.
  13. American Gods season 3 just started on Starz. Based on Neil Gaimen's book. Much of it takes place in Wisconsin and neighboring states.
  14. As someone who has been on both sides of this situation my advice would be this: keep it simple, straightforward, and short. Odds are this probably isn't going to be a surprise to them. When I've done it HR was usually involved and let them handle the details.
  15. Yeah, never reheat in the microwave, I'd eat it cold before I would consider that idea. Actually, I like cold pizza for breakfast... Skillet works well.
  16. I agree. My impression is he isn't the type of player to keep trying to hang on for as long as possible. For that reason, I think it would take more money for him to come back, not less.
  17. RHP Zachary Mort has been signed to a minor league contract.
  18. The talk is about a starting pitcher.
  19. Those are the players though I didn't see the ones from today until now. Don't forget the hamburger. I didn't share because I'm not familiar enough with them to know if I'm posting utter garbage or not.
  20. My mistake, I did misread that. 2022 is the last year on Cain's contract. Him opting out of 2020 did nothing to affect his contract, length, or the years covered.
  21. This is Packer adjacent but rumors are the Bears are keeping Pace and Nagy.
  22. Next year is Cain's last year - no opt out.
  23. Their fans have been speculating the White Sox are trying to get Woodruff since the trade deadline this past season. The funny part is they are grossly underestimating what an opening offer would need to be just to get the conversation started. I won’t say they wouldn’t listen on offers for him, but the Brewers certainly aren’t trading Woodruff for a Madrigal caliber headliner. Right now they think Heuer is the headliner.
  24. Woodruff and Burns aren’t going anywhere so can’t imagine who it would be on the Brewers end. Peralta? Hauser? Hader would probably make more sense but not sure if the White Sox would be after Hader after just signing Hendriks. The number of people who think its Woody is hilarious. I'm thinking it's more likely with the Reds with Gray being the target for Madrigal and Heuer.
  25. Tom Haudricourt: It is my understanding it is not guaranteed. Pretty confident of that.
