  1. Looks like the Rays have figured out their stadium situation
  2. $600 million in funding, with some local county and city chipping in Lease gets extended to 2050 Though I'm sure there'll be some give and take from when the legislation is officially introduced and by the time it gets passed or denied https://www.jsonline.com/story/money/real-estate/commercial/2023/09/15/600-million-american-family-field-spending-plan-could-have-local-cash/70868156007/
  3. My gut instinct feels its a) Sponsor patch on sleeve b) Some ownership change (Mark moving ownership to his sons) c) Some sort of baseball district around AmFam announcement (Highly unlikely, if this were to happen it probably be announced with the stadium funding)
  4. Black was drafted in '21, so IIRC he doesn't have to be added till the end of 2024
  5. BIGLEAGUEFOODIE loves the meatball
  6. Brian Anderson survives another day.... so perplexing
  7. Watching this pregame on peacock... I have to say Nick Swisher is terrible.... just non-stop yelling...
  8. The flyover was for the Craftsman Truck race at the Milwaukee Mile
  9. When Matt Arnold pulled his name from consideration from the Mets' GM opening, Jon Heyman said that Arnold signed an extension. This was in Oct of '21. And the Brewers have been quoted many times that they don't disclose the contracts of their executives to the public. Then I found this from a CBS article https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/brewers-president-david-stearns-steps-down-gm-matt-arnold-promoted/#:~:text=Arnold worked for the Tampa,Milwaukee for the foreseeable future. My gut feels that it probably was longer than a 2 year extension, especially if they knew Stearns was probably going to walk when his contract ended.
