Is Luis Rengifo of the Angels an option?
He was off to a good start last year before hurting the wrist (that required season-ending surgery). Arbitration estimate is for $5.8million for next year before hitting free agency in 2026.
Positives: Only one year deal leaving the possibility of Wilkin or Boeve taking over in 2026. Ability to play other positions on the infield if needed. Switch hitter with better career numbers vs. lefties.
Questions: What will the cost be to acquire? Is the wrist ok (reports say he will be ready for Spring Training)? Are we ok with 3rd base not being a "power" spot?
Perkins and Collins don't scream RH power off the bench moving forward.
Thoughts...will the Brewers be more apt to hit one of the catchers in the postseason in those spots?
Saw the movie on Saturday in Madison. Really enjoyed it.
My son is planning to go today, if for no other reason to verify all my stories over the years are true.😁
Nice win. Bullpen and defense as has been the case for most of the year.
The knock against them has been, lack of power will hurt them in the post season...Not tonight thanks to Rhys.
Give Murph some credit tonight.
Dropped Turang in the order even with RHP starting. Mitchell at DH with a big swing. Made the right move with Hall and Megill (even though I would have considered Hall for the 8th with two LH due up),
With the Brewers listing "TBD" for Sunday's start, will that be Hall's move back into the rotation? (Guess it could also be Ross coming back from the bullpen, but that's so much less exciting)
Any interest Cavan Biggio? Is he an improvement over Monasterio?
