Maybe this will be the norm with off days?
  2. bensheeps
Mitchell with his second hard hit ball of the night. Get him back to what he was doing in July and the offense looks a whole lot better quickly.

    Gotta feel good for Yelich
  4. bensheeps
Shouldn't Contreras be farther than 1st base after all that time at the plate on the play to Jake?
  5. bensheeps
    And I'll take it. 😀

    Ashby > Ohtani
  7. bensheeps
A great 1-unassisted to end a great battle from Henderson. (I'd take some more runs off the Dodgers bullpen)
  8. bensheeps
Bottom of the order coming through. Now need the top to do their job to add on
  9. bensheeps
I turned things off after the Yelich fly out in the 8th. What a great surprise when I checked my phone at 5:30 this morning. Got up and watched the ninth. Big win (probably as much for the fans as it was for the team). Add a game on the Dodgers and Cubs and half game on the Braves. If just for a day...

Unreal with the infield injuries/tweaks all at the same time (Pratt/Ortiz/Turang). Especially when you have them the same time as guys at AAA (Jett Williams and Luke Adams).

Mitchell's legs lead to a run!
  13. bensheeps
Really starting to wonder if Ortiz is completely healthy. That can be the only reason for Hamilton staying in there vs a LHP, right?
  14. bensheeps
Hope that's the one that gets Mitchell going again
  15. bensheeps
Nice win! Something to build on hopefully

Abner locks him out with the slider!
  17. bensheeps
    18-11

Assuming this move also means that Lockridge comes back up (to replace Perkins). Need to make a 40-man move for Lockridge first?
  19. bensheeps
Which do we think... Gary Sanchez going in a deal with multiple teams looking for catching at the deadline? or Jeferson Quero moving as a piece in a bigger deal?

With however much you trust Heyman's takes.

Looks like just giving everyone an extra day of rest. Drohan to start Friday in Anaheim (I'll be there for it)

Skubal got his 1000 strikeout on the first batter of today's game. Now get him on a plane to meet the team in Anaheim.

Seems like a reasonable list (although I always worry about moving a popular clubhouse presence like Sal during the season). I'm still thinking (maybe foolishly) that we will make a big enough move that it will include at least one prospect (that will "hurt") that's not on this list.

I know it's probably emotions taking over rather than in depth thinking, but adding Skubal would be awesome as a fan. I remember back to the half season of Sabathia and am excited about that type of energy playing out again. (I guess Mason Miller would create a similar "buzz") 1. Skubal - Can it happen with Jett W (instead of Pena), Gasser (instead of Henderson), Adams? 2. Joe Ryan - Still a playoff game #2 pitcher with an additional year of control. 3. Adrian Morejon I don't know if there is an available bat that fits and makes enough of a difference.
