  1. At times, I think about how much time and money I've spent on my Milwaukee Brewers "hobby". The times that we've considered giving up our 20-game pack now that my kids are 28 and 21 and it is a 2.5 hour drive to Milwaukee. Each time, we reason that it is my family's way to relax together and that some day, the benefit for keeping the package will pay off when the Brewers make their post-season run. Last night it finally happened. It didn't really hit me last night like I thought it would. Coming to school today, it has started to as staff and students have may a point to stop in the office to congratulate me and share stories about last night's game. I'm not sure how I will feel next Friday as I sit in my seat at AmFam. That may be when all the emotions boil over. In a way, I'm looking forward to it happening around my family and extended family that have shared the seating area with us for years.
  2. I remember going out to eat with my mom and two brothers in October 1981. I wouldn't let anyone leave the car until I heard the end of the win over the Tigers to clinch the 2nd half. I remember shedding tears when Gomez scored on Niger Morgan's hit. I will remember this game tonight for just as long. Here's to another memory or two over the next two weeks!
  3. Jo Jo and Muncy both with emotion after the at bat. (The way we love it!)
  4. Wild Bill with a little attitude after being pulled yesterday. I like it.
  5. I've spent too much time thinking about this lately. I've got to remind myself that we are the best team in baseball. But, I mostly don't want to see the Padres due to the backend of their bullpen. This weekend I'm rooting for the Diamondbacks (to push the Padres back a little) and the Phillies (to move ahead of the Padres)
  6. The Good: Fought back against a playoff quality starting pitcher (scoring our way without a HR) Gordon showed a whole lot for his first outing with the team Racked up some pitches and scored against their stud closer (Eternal optimist)
  7. Curious if this will be the case in the playoffs as well. Try to limit Senzatela to mostly RH hitters. If so, assuming we definitely don't see Anderson for the playoffs.
  8. What a game. Was that the best use of challenges for the entire year? Just in time for it to become another weapon in the post season.
  9. Great job Bobby Gas and great faith from Murph!
  10. I'm not afraid to admit that I was screaming for Murphy to pinch hit Sanchez for Yelich. Way to prove me wrong Captain!
  11. The pink bat is in my man cave. And I used to throw a decent batting practice when I coached JV baseball.
  12. The day in 2019 that I got Bill Hall to sign my jersey.
  13. With another scoreless inning of work, how about some love for DL Hall. He's been really good.
  14. We should play on AppleTV every game!
  15. Sunday's game was another glimpse of what he can be... 1st at bat is a missile line drive at 101.8 mph the other way (unfortunately right at Bregman for an inning ending DP) 2nd at bat is another line drive at 111.0 mph for a rbi single to left-center. 3rd at bat is a lead off walk in the 8th inning that leads to the tieing run. Line drives going the opposite way hopefully is a sign that he is about to go back on a similar heater that he was on in June (.293 avg, .346 ob, .507 slg) and July (.315 avg, .390 ob, .506 slg).
