The way the Crew won these last three games is so epic......
Game 1: The throw home from Perkins
Game 2: Pitch clock violation then homer by Contreras and then check swing strike on Soto
Game 3: Walk off in the bottom of the ninth
The early 80's Brewers were my on ramp to Brewer fandom. But this team is special. It's a lunch pail crew with great pitching. This season is amazing. This is not Harvey's Wallbangers. But honestly it resembles the 82 Cardinals (which makes me almost vomit in my throat). But it's a fair comparison.
Dude I empathize, watching that playoff loss down here as a 30 year fan in Tennessee by myself was bad enough. I cannot imagine watching it surrounded by New Yorkers. I hate Pete Alonso.
But tonight felt good.

Sox trade Andrew Vaughn to acquire Aaron Civale - Page 7 - Pale Hose Talk - Soxtalk.com
From The Sox got one over on the Brewers, to Vaughn is just on a hot streak.
maybe change the quote to "someone who adds more pop to the lineup". I am not a casual fan.
I get the overall sentiment here. You guys disagree, it's fine. Looking forward to the Braves series.
We have literally not been this good of a team since 1982, by record at this point. We had a chance to improve, and we traded for little more than depth, with tons of minor league depth to trade.
How about we just go for it for once and trade for a bat? It's old news now because we did not.
I pray our corner's are good enough because that's all we can do.
I have faith in Vaughn, that's been an unbelievably good move. But when we get into October are you confident in Ortiz/Durbin?
It would have been nice to have Suarez. We had the minor league players to get that deal done.
We did not as usual.
