both of those pitches to DeRosa were closer than any of the pitches from the Cubs in the 6th inning....c'mon turnbow!!
  2. brwrsfan
Alright, I take it back again....if you were going to take him out like that....then why not just let Turnbow START the inning??!??! Seriously, how can someone mismanage a pitching staff this poorly??!!

this will really irk me if he lets CV hit and then pulls him for turnbow....if he wanted to take him out, at least put a decent hitting pitcher in...like Dave Bush... alright, i stand corrected....he left CV in....

Baseball tonight just made a mention about the brewers infield and how they were all drafted in 1st or 2nd round, infield that is.....oh wait, it was just a ploy for ESPN to plug itself....
  5. brwrsfan
and then he starts the inning by tightening the corners on Carlos.....ha sit down soriano!!

So Mench makes the last out of the inning.....we need a double switch.....and then you take out Bill Hall instead of Kevin Mench... And is it just me, or did the Cubs pitchers get more borderline (or flat out bad) calls in the 6th inning than Vargas got the entire game??

8 straight fastballs to Theriot there....you'd think they would have thrown something different...he probably would have taken anything soft inside....man that irks me!

I would agree, we seem to hit a TON of solo shots....not that I mind getting them, but it would be nice to see us capitalize with men on base every now and again.....i wonder how many JJ and prince have...be nice if the top of the order could consistently get on base... as I write this...our shift on Cliff Floyd just backfired again....

ted lilly at 67 pitches after 3 innings....now thats nice....hopefully we can get into the cubs bullpen by at least the 5-6th inning tonight.... that being said, i hope we keep tacking on...these cubs/brewers games scare me sometimes

My guess is the companies are trying to expand their market size to more than just beer drinking men. By adding fruit and sweetening it, they can attract women to buy "beer". Not to mention the men that don't like beer but might actually like this stuff. I don't blame them for trying, but for the most part, fruity beer is just not a good idea...

nicely done with the glue....i still want to know who looked at a horse and thought...."yea, that could be glue!!"

wow...worst case scenario comes true to form.....i was really hoping if we're not top 2 we could at least get horford...not looking all that likely for that either.

Griffey has been my favorite player for basically my entire life...I'd jump up and down if here were actually a Brewer...that being said, probably will never happen and I'm not sure I'd like giving up what it took to get him.

I don't necessarily like the 3 lefties in a row at the bottom of the lineup...I understand loading them up every now and again, but it's just too easy for the opposing manager to bring in a lefty in tough spots (or make us use up 2-3 bench players in one inning of a close game). Especially when the 3 lefties at the bottom don't exactly hit lefties well, if at all (aside from Gwynn maybe, as he hasn't had many chances...)

Good enough for my vote too...this site really never siezes to amaze me. None of us really have a clue who this person is but since it means a lot to one of our fellow posters, we're all for it. And not only do we just vote, we take it to a whole nother level and we'll probably make sure we wins. On a side note, does anyone remember the thread from awhile back when a guy was arguing that he could get 1 million hits on a website and if he did, his girlfriend would have a threesome with him? I think this site single-handidly hit the website like 300,000 times, lol.

I have a retro Turnbow bobblehead, signed on the base (he didn't want to sign the helmet). I checked around a bit and was told by some card stores (a friend of mine owns one) that he could probably sell it for $60-$80. If the signed retro is only worth about that much, theres no way thats a legit auction.

anyone know a good site to watch the games online. i liked cbs last year because it showed the pitches and whatnot, but they've made some changes that i really don't care for on the online gameday thing and i can't seem to find a good one anywhere. any thoughts?

MLB extra innings is free on Time Warner this weekend I believe, well, at least the Indians/Sox game is on right now. According to the channel, the Brewers/Cards game is going to be on one of the channels. Will that be on in Milwaukee or is it going to be blacked out?

Can someone please explain the logic behind NOT starting Hall tonight?! He goes 3-4 on Monday, including a bomb and he lands on the bench. Meanwhile, you have Weeks hitting 2 for his last 17. Wouldn't this be a good time to get Hall some AB's? He's never going to get his 400 playing only against lefties. Sometimes the logic Ned uses really irks me....ugh!!

hey, I went to the game at Wrigley today, and it was great, crowd was loud, not too many Brewers fans, but it was a good time. anyways, I tried to tape it, but my little brother came into the room and changed the channel, by chance did anyone here happen to tape the game today?? if so, any chance I could get a copy of it? thanks in advance for any help. Jeff

can't seem to find a box score yet, but the Snappers lost a tough one, 7-6. Prince goes 3-5, 2 RBI's and his third homer in three games, maybe he's starting to heat up, no other numbers yet that I can find

High Desert comes through with an 8-5 win over Inland Empire in 11 innings!! Kade Johnson with the game winning double in the 11th, and it appears like the HD bullpen threw for 10 innings today as JM Gold was hurt, as mentioned above. In an interesting sidenote, Kaz Sasaki started the game for Inland, pitching one inning. Quite a day for the Brewers organization today, let's hope for a repeat tomorrow!! Let's sweep those Cubbies!!
