    I fondly think back to BF's last group think Prospect Top 20 when I politely shared (paraphrasing): the BF community is likely going to look back at their end of the year rankings wondering how Jesus Made was not the number one ranked prospect (let alone, laughably, just outside the top 5) in their poll. And, well, here we are. I see BA very much agreed with me. I'm going to go bake myself a cookie.😁

    Spencer and I completed the Seasons in Review Pod series yesterday afternoon. We answered the vast majority of the questions we received in a big 'mailbag' run as well as covering the Sounds. Thank you to the many of you who submitted questions - I imagine the episode will be published this week so stay tuned here and on the Brewer Fanatic Podcast 'X' page. I would also like to share: We do a mini dive into Indy and UDFA signings. Despite what you'll hear from me re: RHP Ryan Sandberg (Jim got out ahead of this signing and posted the transaction HERE) is definitively NOT related to the infamous HOF'er Ryne Sandberg. I only add to your confusion in the pod 😅. Why, you might ask? Well, in the days before the podcast I had tried to learn more about Sandberg the pitcher and every search engine took me to the numerous Ryne Sandberg pages. Again and again and again. In the stream of consciousness flow of recording the pod episode I am fairly certain I say "...just signed RHP Ryan Sandberg from Montreal of the Frontier League, Ryne Sandberg's son..." Pretty sure I said that and crossed those streams. AND, if I did? It's is 100% an incorrect statement. So it goes. Apologies to Ryan and his parents 🤦‍♂️. I have to imagine this is a genre of mistake and/or constant questioning he has received throughout his baseball playing career.

    The Dodgers are an incredibly easy team to root against. Zero interest in their success. That is all I have to say on it. They can assemble their Death Star but let us all remember: the rebel factions ultimately prevail.

    Posted this in the Minors transaction thread as well with JB being DFA'd. I really feel for Bukauskas - he just couldn't get healthy in 2024. When healthy, however, he's been extremely solid for the Brewers - whether with the Sounds or in the Brewers pen. Just a really good sinker baller. This has a bit of Jake Cousins/Tyson Miller rebound success story feel to it wherever he should choose to go. He's simply too good not to get a Big League opportunity somewhere (assuming he has reclaimed full health, obviously). Hopefully Rodriguez works out wonderfully.

    - RHP JB Bukauskas has been DFA'd by the Milwaukee Brewers This was a result of this move: I feel for JB here. He couldn't get healthy in 2024 but he has been very solid since he stepped foot in the Brewers org. He will latch on somewhere should he choose to go the route of FA - hopefully, for my sake (and the Brewers), he stays with the Sounds to earn his way back up.

    His last name is 'Whitecotton'. Been coaching that D-Line for four years including the rise of Quinnen Williams. Seems like an extremely smart move and one would think he may have been recommended by Saleh. Regardless, Rebrovich clearly didn't add anything more than what we were getting previously - at Edge, pass rush and D-Line. Was the obvious end result. How Bisaccia continues going completely unscathed is something.

    I am right there with you my friend. I was nine years old. Menomonie Falls at my Grandma Eunice's condo. Out on her back patio deck. My dad and I listened to the radio call as Rob Deere hit a 3-run bomb to send it into Xtras where the Crew won. An integral memory in that epic George Webb's 12-game winning streak. Eunice is long gone. Ueck is now gone. And, I'm almost 50. Life comes at us fast. Just grateful we had a legend guide us those many years. I'd trade a World Series win for a life filled with Uecker calls. I truly mean that. He is the very definition of a one of a kind. A true Master at being a memorable and lasting human being. Now that he's gone, I want that World Series win in his honor. I want them all.😭

    Absolutely heartbreaking and gut wrenching. We all knew this day was likely coming but it certainly doesn't make it any easier when the news hits. I have such indelible memories cruising around Milwaukee and Waukesha county with my pops prepping his houses (real estate agent) while listening to Mr. Uecker on the radio. Those memories will never fade. "Get up, get up, get outta here! Gone for Deer!" A legend has passed. May we celebrate his memory always.

    There are Ramirez clips in Spencer's X post above, fwiw. Early reports are Ramirez is possibly the crowned jewel in this pitching class for the Brewers. AND, I've heard the Brewers are quite high on several arms already at this stage. This appears to be one of the more ready classes in terms of high-end arm talent.

    Frias walks to the stage with ol' Brewer and Carlos Villenueva, in his 'Special Assistant' capacity, front and center. You love to see it! I should add, Matt Arnold is also in attendance at the very center 😅. I think it's fair to opine (conversations abroad) Frias is likely one of the unsung players in this outfield class. Baseball America mentions he is the brother to the Guardians' Luis Frias. Perhaps interesting as well, they seem to think he has quite solid mound projectability.
