    Really nice 1-2 hitting from BItonti here. May not result in anything. And, it did not, he flew out to RF. BUT that was a really nice lefty-on-lefty AB, regardless. Fouled some off-speed off. Professional AB.

    The T-Rats keep trying to steal on Quad Cities' catcher and they keep failing to successfully swipe the bag. Areinamo (BB) was just thrown out going for 3B by a good three feet - not even close. On to the bottom of the 6th. 1-0 T-Rats.

    Fantastic work from Reyes who gets a jam shot dribbler right to 1B. Meccage sees no more unsightly damage to his ERA and Reyes strands three.

    Walked another that apparently just missed. Big swooping breaker on the upper corner. Probably just outside. Faced nine batters and he'll be pulled. Rough showing. Lost everything arm side. No control of the release point.

    First pitch heater dead center. Two score. Relay throw sails to the dugout to 3B and another scores. RBI double. Second of his inning. 5-3 Muddies. That was a really poor airmailed throw from Adamczewski. Looked like the ball just absolutely sailed on him.

    AND, now a breaking ball got away arm side and plunked a batter on his first pitch on his bicep. Everything is high and away arm side.

    Pretty awesome to see Meccage sitting 94-95 mph. Doesn't have the control on the heater tonight arm side run is getting away. He apparently can drop that breaking ball in any count. He did just give up a double on a breaker and has fallen behind 3-1 and now a walk. Balls are sailing arm side. Men on first and 2nd. Two down.

    Sails another heater. Arm side run. The curve ball is nasty, however, so he is still getting strikes looking and swinging. Sails another heater high and outside the zone at 94 mph and gets a swinging K. Sails another. Ball. 2-2 count. Rips a heater on the inner black. 95 mph K looking. Back-to-back K's to start his evening.

    Meccage is seeing some of his heaters sail well above the zone early in his first frame. He gets a nasty breaking ball swinging K, however, in a full count to get out numero uno.

    An absolute rocket at 110 mph and 413 feet over the LF wall. That is a mammoth to that part of the park.

    The Muddies have now stolen home twice against these Pelicans. Pena just swiped home in a double steal while the suddenly red hot Demetrio Nadal (single) swiped second base. 4-0 Muddies top of One.

    I think there is definitely power in there ( DiTuri speaking. I've been saying for the past 1.5 years Nicasia has power in that bat because his swing path is so power driven. Natural line drive and launch capacity and from both sides of the dish. He remains a super sleeper) and he has definitely hit the weight room. Honestly, several of the youngest of the young men have which is epic. I see a very different swing in 2025 in terms of bat speed and ability to place meaningful contact on the ball for DiTuri. Obviously, very early but I've brought it up a couple times now. He has demonstrated the Low-A scuffles last season were potentially a prolonged adjustment period and, hey, maybe he was just fatigued. It happens. What's more, he's hit a long ball from each side of the dish. It's that allure he and Nicasia give us.

    Big night for OF Kay-Lan Nicasia Truthers. There may only be two of us, but I say hang the banner regardless. A two HR Grand Salami Birthday solo celebration is some serious self-love statement game DRIP. That's an incredible bit of work in just his second High-A set of AB's!

    It's hard to ignore LHP Tate Kuehner's two-start 6 BB and 0 K over 8 2/3 IP to begin his season. It certainly appears he's carried last season's late regression over to the start of 2025. This makes me un poco triste. And, boy, looking through that Biloxi Box Score and those overall offensive season numbers...if that isn't about as Shuckers as it gets I don't know what does. Lots of ongoing <sad face> in Biloxi.

    He actually has consecutive multi-hit performances which is friggin' awesome. Very happy for him.

    Two Long Dongs for switch-hitting cannon-armed Kay-Lan on his birthday. Words can not express how happy this makes me feel. Definitively one of my guys for the past year plus. The vindication is good. BUT, the joy I feel for him is sweet. Keep going young man!

    This is what I was speaking to in the reports this past week. I am so over the national prospects 'experts' legitimately entirely sleeping on how stunningly good he is defensively. His feel. His hands. His savvy. His glove. Everything he does on a week-in and week-out basis is legitimately the best in the entire Brewers system. And, it really just isn't all that close. He is the elite of the elite. AND, these prospect gurus are literally like: "Well, ya know he'll give you some solid defense...". I will never forget how ridiculously low he was originally graded at Fangraphs too. It's literally an anomalous uninformed illness in the prospect world. 😅 He is world class.

    Hall's AB's in the International League, as well as his fielding in LF, have felt below replacement level. He legitimately looked out of place in the early part of the season. His AB's I saw were extremely uncompetitive.

    That's consecutive solid outings in Double-A for Cruz. You love to see it.
