  1. Pretty big fan of the Nixon re-up. He does a lot for the team. Had stretches of really good ball. I think he'll benefit from a D-Coordinator who knows how to cater to a secondary player's strengths as well. They still likely need another CB in the first 4 rds.
  2. For me, it's really as simple as I hope he leaves the NFC North. Texans would be awesome.
  3. Very good RB
  4. (Note: NSFW due to a couple of 'F' bombs - maybe just one.) I continue to LOVE Pat Bev in the state of Wisconsin playing professional basketball with the Milwaukee Bucks.
  5. Oh dear. A tradition as old as any other in the NFC North. Yuck.
  6. We can all have our differing opinions on Jacobs. BUT, as a West Coast person I got to see plenty of the Raidahhhhs. When he is healthy, he is absolutely elite. Plus, Oakland was entirely boring with how they used him as a pass catcher. This just in: he's a very good pass catcher with very good hands. This is essentially a 1 year $14.5 Million prove it deal with 3 club options tacked on. That's how I view it, at least. If we get a healthy Jacobs, this is a big get. Extremely sad to see a Packers legend go in Jones. Very excited they have a back as good as Jacobs to fill that bill immediately. Especially if I consider we nabbed the best cover safety in the League.
  7. Whoa. Shocked. This one stings.
  8. WOOF. This One came outtta left field. Ouch!
  9. Bad offense. Bad O-Line. Classic Raiders drama. Injured most of the year. If he's healthy, he will be electric.
  10. Just seeing this thread. Will continue posting FA items here: JRJ signs w Giants
  11. John Runyan Jr. signs a $30 Million deal ($17 Million guaranteed) with the Giants. Good for him. My Powers-Johnson Round 1 dream gets more life.
  12. Wait, is the Vikings Plan B post-Cousins seriously Sam Darnold?!? Oh please football gods make it so!
  13. Pack were also repeatedly in on Jonathan Taylor. I think the writing has been on the wall they wanted to upgrade Jones' stablemate. This does so in a BIG way. Jacobs is elite when healthy. Still has a lotta tread on the tires too. He is only 26 years old this year.
  14. I have to think (at least I am telling myself this) the Eagles signing Saquon helps our McKinney signing chances?
  15. Absolutely correct. Thank you.
  16. It would appear so. They had been and continue to discuss a restructured deal. Rappoport is indicating it is almost across the finish line:
  17. I'm also hearing Jones is near a restructured deal. That RB tandem is going to be nuts. Jacobs is really really good when healthy. Maybe a shared load will impact that even more? Surprised but excited about the possibility.
  18. When I think of devastating career altering Packers injuries, I think of Nick Collins, Terence Murphy, and now David Bakhtiari. Should I add Chad Clifton in there? All incredible talents. All suffering injury fates all too soon in their careers. Bakh is a Real One. I'm going to miss him and his fantastic personality. Another middle round Packer O-Lineman steal. I still remember the rookie Training Camp reports on Bakh. What a fantastic Packer.
  19. I can't think of a more vintage Packers opening day of Free Agency piece of news than the re-signing TE Tyler Davis. To the core.😅
  20. Me waiting for any updates and news on RHP Tyler Herb's health status and 2024 MiLB season status: One of my favorite interviews while with the Sounds, I truly felt as tho he was on the precipice of making his run for serious MLB call-up contention. His injury last year, when he had established himself over a season plus first in Biloxi and then as a key versatile hurling piece for manager Rick Sweet and the Sounds pitching staff at large, was just so incredibly unfortunate. He is still a free agent, technically, but I have a feeling that injury process and rehab was and is quite serious.
  21. One of my more intriguing storylines (if I ever complete my next blog post before the season begins 😅)in 2024: What do the Brewers actually have in Gardner? After a very brief hiccup in the transition to affiliated ball via the Gateway Grizzlies (Frontier League), Gardner very much settled in to owning that set-up and emergency role (should Shears or Smith falter) for Joe Ayrault and the T-Rats. Then Australia happened this past winter - all of us tracking the Brisbane season definitely took notice of his utter award-winning domination. The step up to the Southern League is a mighty challenging one. BUT, it certainly seems as tho Gardner found another level to his arsenal over the past six months. He already had fantastic shape to his breaking ball(s). I feel as tho, in the mold of former Brewers bulldog RHP Kent Hasler, Gardner could really make a name for himself within the org this season if he stays healthy and he gets good rolls of the dice. ** special mention to his Brisbane Bandits teammate 1B/DH Tayden Hall...that was a big step down under. Let's hope he carries it over stateside.
  22.
