    RHP Luis Contreras is doing exactly what I thought he had the chance to do with the Astros this Spring Training: dominancing. He pitched another scoreless (2K) inning today versus the Phillies (3/8). He has been with the Big League staff all ST long - he has yet to concede a single run. Here's hoping the Astros organization can tap into what I saw for the past year plus in Nashville and Biloxi: possibly dominating stuff with a bit more fine-tuning and professional seasoning. The arm side run and ride on his heat should play at any level - plus stuff.

    Considering he spent a good chunk of his 2023 season in Nashville scuffling through his ongoing loss of 'stuff', let's give a shout out to LHP Eric Lauer who signed a Minor League pact with the Pirates of Pittsburgh yesterday. Hopefully, the one time MLB rotation arm can rediscover what got him there - just not against the Sounds or the Brewers🤭.

    OF Abraham Almonte (2022 Sounds hitting specialist - and boy did he hit in 2022 for Nashville- until a late July trade to Boston for cash monies) is headed to Mexico to further his baseball career. Best of luck in 2024!

    How questionable and untrustworthy is Tyler Black's work at 3B (despite his gains and despite what us positive outlook Fanatics opine)? <Insert a Sal Frelick Spring Training 3B experiment> The Brewers are taking the conservative approach with Brock Wilken - and, why would we doubt their approach there? But, outside of the impeccable defensive work of utility man extraordinaire Ethan Murray; the admirable fill in work of Andruw Monasterio - not a natural 3B; and a possible (anything is possible) surprising next step at the dish for Patrick Dorrian (more than a competent step-in utility candidate at 3B), it is quite obvious Wilken is the future there. The Brewers are just trying to fill that gap in a net break even until that time. I look at Frelick's work at 3B as just another means to keep him in the line-up as they play around with exposing their young talent to consistent playing time. He'll do fine there because he's an incredible athlete and a heck of a baseball player.

    So, food for thought, in my own charts what I 'see' is a path to $78k-ish for Bitcoin in this current leg. The bounce off the ATH gave the Alts room to breathe; regroup; and run up. What I see in BTC's chart is a FOMO push to aforementioned $78k-ish and then a rip back to those all important higher timeframe EMA's and MA's to consolidate for the next push. SO, to that end, if I were to check my personal trading crystal ball I personally foresee a retrace (ie I will buy back in and repurchase what I sell off this mini-top - for me that is anything I bought between $30-45K) and some noise down into the $45-50k range as it stands today. That would make all too much sense given historicity and proven supports. I've learned enough in my trading to know this may not be how it goes. I certainly don't know the timing. And, I never sell back at the price points I refuse to let go of. I am still hodling all Bitcoin I've purchased $3,800 - $30,000. As to Alts, I primarily hodl ATOM and HBar. ATOM I had charted to $15.35 - to -$16.75 ish as reasonable short term target areas. They certainly are on the way to the -1.27 with essentially $800 Million entering the Cosmos Hub since yesterday. Anywho, gotta love the crypto Bulls😅

    OF Skye Bolt, who manned the Nashville outfield grass in 2023 posting a .257/.359/.367 line in 64 contest, has signed a Minor League contract with the Atlanta Braves. He will look to try and claw his way back to the MLB level for the first time since 2022.

    And to think just this past month there was a false report of Junk headed overseas for a year. He clearly put the work in to build off his late season performance(s) with the Crew. Here's hoping he comes out dealing in 2024!

    Going for 6 in a row vs the Clippers. Giannis is Out. Middleton is still out (shocker). Clippers on the second leg of a back-to-back. However, like reverse splits, they are quite good on B2B's - especially Kawhi who is ridiculously potent and efficient somehow on the 2nd leg. Bucks will likely need a random statement game from Dame if they want a chance in Hades to steal one. Tough ask with the most dominant Big in the League resting a sore Achilles. Hopefully, this doesn't mean Giannis needs prolonged rest.

    Lotttttta people in a lotttttta places are prejudicial toward mullets. You toss in a curly wavy dirty blonde mullet? People are storming the clubhouse and demanding a return to Triple-A. Is this unconscious behavior? A hidden agenda? I can't tell you the truth. And, even if I did, I'd have to do so knowing I am putting my neck on the line.

    Fantastic profile. Thanks for writing this. It's always so wonderful to hear about the developments and tinkerings going on with those intriguing profiles and fringe roster guys. The Brewers do indeed have a way of helping these players achieve their best. Let's hope it bears fruit yet again.

    This plays. The eye test all last year: just not comfortable. We can talk all we want about the plays that pop - and they definitely occur - but, he just isn't comfortable at any position. It's a strange strange duck. I would opine, he actually has looked his very best at 2B, in totality, but even there he was stiff and not smooth. For a guy with that much athleticism, it truly is odd to see him so awkward moving laterally defensively. Offensively, he is very much already an MLB worthy prospect and player - for the numerous reasons we've discussed ad nauseum in the Minor League forums for over a year. It's going to be very interesting to see how this 2024 season plays out for him, however. Injuries and line-up shuffles etc. will play their part at the MLB level as they always do. @Smichaelis9and I have shared the same thoughts for over a year now: his best means of making a roster may just be the jack-of-all-trades master of none. Hopefully, he can become competent 'enough' at 1B, 3B, corner OF, 2B and his bat keeps crushing that he becomes a player you simply can't find reasons to keep out of the line up. Can he essentially become that dangerous wide receiver that is too dangerous to merit valid concerns over drops? Time will tell.

    Sitting 94 and scraping 95 is quite easily up 3-4 mph from his average outings in late summer/early fall while he was grinding through his early rehab. These are massively encouraging numbers and results. Very encouraging.

    The 165 cut downs are not going to be easy this season for this old Minor League Brewers fan boy. Ugh. Already taking its toll. I wish all the young men the best of success in their future baseball and life endeavors. Keep fighting.

    Daniel Jeremiah has 12 WR's in his top 50. He's had 11 before (twice). This is a historically good receiver class. That combine performance across the board was no joke.

    Holy hyeck this receiver class showed out today. My word. The athleticism on display is absolutely absurd. Given our draft capital, I'd be completely unsurprised if Gutey took some high end value that falls somewhere in the first four rounds. He loves that patented 'competition'. 'Iron sharpens iron'. Throw another unicorn into that Heath/Melton/Dubose fire to solidify that first 5 group. Yowza.
