  1. And we're off again. Welcome back my friends.
  2. Valid questions. We shall see as there's a lot of season left. One HR, for me at least, does not remedy the throwing errors and other issues I have seen in his game. He does have the tools and the frame you like - he's obviously very athletic. BUT, I want to see more polish and more urgency and focus in his game. He makes far too many casual mistakes for my liking in his current form.
  3. (For those of you unfamiliar with Owen, he is a Packer fan and analyst and was hired on as a Scouting Assistant by the East/West Shrine Bowl summer of 2021.) If you click the link there are a good 6-8 clips to peruse.
  4. I legit laughed.
  5. Jakson Reetz continues a tremendous early season. I have been extremely impressed with Jakson's overall game so far in 2022. He is as steady as they come behind the plate but his bat has been uncannily effective. Another 2-3 evening with a rbi. He's batting 0.343 with a 1.096 OPS. The addendum is the sample size is only 35 AB's. But, in general, the catching in Biloxi has been fantastic. Both Reetz and Diaz have played DH roles to boot given Dillard's overall struggles. Of the surprising stories in the 2022 Brewers Minor Leagues, Biloxi's catching performance is one of them for me.
  6. This is the second game in a row where Tyler Black has been out of the line-up. It will be interesting if we see him back in the lineup tomorrow. Wes Clarke filled in at 1B for Ernesto Martinez tonight and had a heck of a game at the plate. Well done, Wes!
  7. I see Eduardo Garcia gets that miraculous success in his all-or-nothing style: 2-4 with 2 k's. He's having a truly fascinating start to 2022. No Micah Bello tonight.
  8. Seems like a very unfortunate outing for Ryne Moore - 6 ip, 5 hit, 2 bb, 9 k, 2 er and a 2-0 loss. Very impressive to see low walks, 9 k's, and a solid outing after the delay yesterday. I see you, Ryne. Looking forward to checking in on your next start.
  9. Singleton with the rbi walk and a ding dong? I'm cry!
  10. It's going to be incredible. The best part of it, which I really haven't seen anyone discussing lately, is it prepares the Packers for the possibility A-Rod leaves next season. A-Rod leaves? J-Love leads and you seriously commit to the run and extremely motion oriented quick route pass game and you know you have an elite defense to back you up regardless.
  11. I guess it's destiny. Pickens is probably due some time tomorrow.
  12. Yeah, I think it's more temper flare ups from the looks of it. A couple of the police reports are publicly available. It's riff-raff. It's also family stuff. And, then there's also aspects of youth. He'll be in a good place in Green Bay and he's also a small town young man. I think he's going to fit in extremely well.
  13. I think the one thing we can bring to the whole draft discussion 'argument' is the perspective of sample sizes. I always scoff when the Packer twitterverse pundits are grabbing at extremely small sample sizes to vindicate Packer draft criteria. The sample size is just too small. I think what we can say, however, is they are generally really good at finding day 2 WR's and Day 3 OL. That' really all I think I can say.
  14. Hey, they violated age too! You nailed it!
  15. Precisely why I used 'My Word'. He had a false step lateral and still just absolutely cruised by two OL and a RB. I mean, jeepers that is an insane amount of explosiveness and twitch, eh?
  16. To close the loop on what I said above re: Wyatt. Packers say the same thing:
  17. Pitre is there. Bryan Cook is there. Nick Cross is there. There is quality beyond these three as well.
  18. Oh man, me neither. My fashion essentially is: It is new and then it is inevitably going to be worn when I am using chainsaws, riding a tractor, grafting a tree, planting something, grabbing eggs, killing an animal. It just won't last in any respect. And, I'm kind of a big guy (6'4" 230) so if I get anything that fits remotely I am just going to wear it and wear it all the time. My wife hates it. ?
  19. I know. I know. And, it's in a draft thread with everything going rapidfire. It was loud tho, eh? I was like: Yowza. Get it! LOL.
