  1. Vinny in the batters box to play the hero. Let's go!
  2. 3 pages already on a Friday night? And i use a different setting so it's actually at 6? Cool
  3. I love watching pitchers look dominant against our leadoff guys and then get completely rattled when trying to face Fielder.. love it.
  4. Stick a fork in us, it's officially over. Talk about a year that could have been "the year". Wild Card winner won't have more than 86 wins and we'll still be stuck on the sidelines.
  5. Kim is pretty much throwing at least 2 of his first 3 pitches right down broadway. If would be very dissapointing if we didn't get at least 4 runs off him in 6 innings.
  6. this post left intentionally blank
  7. In no way was that triple Cordero's doing. Once you get a guy on third in that situation you don't really think much about the guys after him. He walked two batters but that would have never happened if the triple wouldn't have occured. He was going for K's all the way since basically any contact + our defense = "In Play - Run Scoring Play" I honestly think Cordero is one of the best closers in baseball and he has been proving since his first month meltdown. One thing about Cordero, though. You notice how he can throw 97 if he really wants to, but chooses to throw between 93-95 to get better control? Turnbow, did you notice? Nah, i didn't think you did.. but you will. Turnbow is far from done. He just needs to learn from this experience.
  8. I never realized that Coors was such a big park 'til i looked at the gameday visual. I don't like the idea of a "humidor". It just doesn't seem right. The other thing... I don't see how anyone could say that this is a "very winnable" series. What do you base that on? I believe they have the same record as us, if not one game either way. They have hitters, they finally have some pitching, and they are at home. Also, they are in the middle of a fight for a division title. We look at a series like this and say, "We need to sweep it to get back in it." I am certain that is exactly what everyone in Colorado is saying as well. This team is still in it, more so than us because of their division, and they aren't going to bend over for anyone. This isn't going to be easy, but here's to a good, hard fought series. Let's go in there and steal 2 of 3 and if the sweep is there, we'll take that too.
  9. Watching the Royals and the Rangers. JDLR makes Mathews Jr. look foolish with a devastating curve to get the K, he then walks the next batter with some real bad control, hitting dirt and overthrowing. Next batter is Carlos and he almost hits him. Ends up walking him.
  10. So i'm keeping track starting today, Corey Hart is 0 for 1 in clutch situations in my book.
  11. Good to see his wife came with him. Must be tough for these guys, probably never been to Milwaukee more than a handful of times, living out of a hotel for a long time while your home is 2500 miles away.
  12. Wouldn't that be something if Mench came into the game and walked it off in the 9th?
  13. Let's get a win to ring in the new "season".
  14. Well, that explains everything. DM just said Bell is a Gamer.
  15. A few innings ago, Ohka was about to throw a 3-2 pitch to a righty with runners on and i automatically began hoping he would throw it on the outside corner so that if it were hit it would probably go to Jenkins and not Carlos.. But then, oh wait a minute.. Corey Hart is out there.. Surreal.
  16. My head is spinning for sure. I'm a big football fan too and camps opened up today.. So with this trade and all the camp reports i have been reading it's getting crazy.
  17. Defensively, i'd much rather see Bell at 3rd. But keep in mind. If Bell is at third, then Hall can play SS, and Graff or Rillo can play 2nd. So basically, More Bell = Less Barnwell.
  18. I was just telling my roommate we should go up to Anaheim next weekend and watch an Angels game and then finish the night off in Fullerton. Well, as it turns out Carlos Lee will be there next weekend.. and so will I........ Wearing my bright yellow Brewers shirt in left field.
  19. And now it appears we don't have Bell. Lol.
  20. Holy Fox Mulder! Sutton cracks me up... looks like we have Bell.. but for whom?
  21. actually the brewers website says he sustained the injury "while waggling a bat in the dugout".
  22. Mench sounds like he's a great clubhouse guy. Likes to joke around. Good to know that he'll probably fit in well, and fast. BF.net interview candidate? stay tuned.
  23. by the way: http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_407891.jpg they work fast at mlb.com
  24. See, THERE'S some optimism! I like it. Now if everyone else could just get on board. Mench's RBI numbers would be better this year if he wasn't in the same lineup as Tex, Blalock, and Young to name a few.
  25. I know ticket prices have gone up a little bit over the last couple years, but it's not like they are unaffordable. All the seats for 10 and under might be gone but i'm sure you can find something for 20. If not, don't they sell standing room tickets when you walk up? I'd go with that and sit somewhere convenient.
