  1. last two pitches to Casey both identical.. first one called a ball
  2. my sole intention of coming on BF.net was to state this, and this alone... they made that last one sound like an unassisted triple play. it was a routine stab, and for some reason he decided not to set his feet. Brady would have beat out that throw.
  3. Looks like Ned wants the defense to show up tonight. Only way i can explain Cirillo starting against a right handed pitcher... then again.. he's cirillo and it's 2006. And you know what that means.... http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/caer/ce/eek/earth/images/rake.gif
  4. now i remember why i hate the Pirates...
  5. Davis needs that curveball to be the pitcher he has been over the last two years. I don't know why he doesn't use it that often anymore, but he really should.
  6. Congratulations DD, it took you 6 pitches to get your first strike...
  7. Alright, some horrid defense on the other side for once.. we'll take it.
  8. The Pirates have only one guy batting under .280 how in the world is that possible? small samples?
  9. One thing is for sure, winning tonight will make this a much easier series. I really like the four game series. Come on Double D, it's about time you step up.
  10. alright, we get the lead with a Koskie smash. I'm outta here...I have a date, but i will be inconspicuously checking my phone for game updates.
  11. The Phillies broadcasters are such whiners. "You can't just step out of the box in the middle of the windup.. that's not fair." Hey, we've been doing it all year.. that's what we do. get over it.
  12. I agree about the Pittsburgh thing. I know we aren't supposed to win in PNC, but our team is just too good to lose that series, or even split. We need to win 3 of 4, if not sweep them. The Pirates are just plain bad. Their starters are average, but their bench is awful. And as far as pitching goes, we are facing some real gems in that series... Two years ago i thought that the Pirates and the Brewers were both stocked with prospects and ready to make some noise... Now i realize that they traded for the only prospects they really had. Duke, yeah, but little else. Nothing like what we have going. I will be very dissapointed with anything less than 3 wins.
  13. one more for the sweep tomorrow.. excellent!
  14. Awww man, i went outside to start up the grill.. came back and missed Weeks AND Hall hit homeruns..
  15. good move by Ned with the double switch.
  16. when do we even play the cubs, by the way? What are they just gonna wait until they get their players back from inuries and then let us go at it.. that is bull.
  17. well that was not fun.. so when are we going to get another easy one? cubs series?
  18. valiant EFFORT, mediocre performance at best.
  19. i love Koskie i love Cappy and i haven't done crap all day.. except of course trying to get the hang of MLB 2K6.. anyone else play that online?
  20. well, a valiant effort by bush... let's hope Capellan can shut it down here against the worst RISP team in the NL
  21. 6 runs on 4 and 1/3 innings of Floyd. We did exactly what we were supposed to do. Great running by Carlos by the way. Nice execution by Prince, although i think he had 2 runs in mind.
  22. well, Bush got out of the first giving up only 1 run. That's a good sign.
  23. This is one of those games where we SHOULD win. There's absolutely no reason we can't shell a guy with a 6 ERA who's pitching on 3 days rest. Bush, I think he will finish out the year strong and next year be a great quality start guy, but right now we could see anything. He's better than his ERA, but he needs to just get it done tonight. Madsen on the bump tomorrow, that should be wonderful.
  24. Let's get one thing straight... Eveland is NOT Hendrickson, or he wouldn't be on the team anymore. Eveland can at least throw strikes when he has to and Evelands fastball doesn't just go straight. in fact nothing he throws goes straight. He has a decent fastball with a solid changeup and an average slider. Hendrickson has a slightly above average curveball and that's basically it. Eveland gives us a chance to win. Bush will only get better by the way.. i'm not too worried about his last start.
