  1. Looking at the CHGO watch party on Youtube. They really hate Contreras and Vaughn.
  2. I'll put the Rollie Fingers/Ted Simmons trade ahead of that one easily.
  3. He threw like 50 pitches only three days ago. He and Preister are unavailable on only two days rest. Doesn't anyone remember what happened to Boyd in Game 1?
  4. I don't know, but it looks like Counsell did us a favor starting a lefty.
  5. At least Yelich isn't leading off so we have a chance tonight.
  6. This Wrigley North thing is so overblown. Since 2018 we have a 35-23 record over the Cubs at home.
  7. Anyone know who the home plate umpire will be? It would be nice to know his tendencies in regard to the strike zone.
  8. I'm optimistic the Brewers will win the division again next year.
  9. Did the Giants finally find their franchise quarterback?
  10. Isn't that something a manager must take into account when making in game decisions instead of just assuming the Cubs won't score again?
  11. 12 pitch at bats don't really matter a whole lot if you still can't get on base.
  12. Are these announcers really talking about who the Cubs start in Game 5? Murphy has to band aid together a bullpen game.
  13. Maddux was not all that great in the postseason in his career. Neither was Glavine. Smoltz was the Braves #3 and I'd take him over those two in a heartbeat in October.
  14. Exactly. Mark A and this organization are content to just make the playoffs. The only hope we have is that our young homegrown core grow and peak their way to a championship before they take off in five years to play for the Dodgers and Yankees.
  15. Who here said they wanted talent over experience for the playoffs?
  16. That's the sad part. I know it won't happen.
  17. I don't want to hear any more about how this is a successful model in building a winning team. Maybe for regular season success but sure as hell not for October. Teams need to spend money to go deep. Get Schwarber this winter. That's all I ask.
