  1. Is a happy Plush a more productive Plush? One would have to think so...
  2. Getting emails and texts from friends around the country ribbing me about the Packers loss is bugging me right now. Sheesh...kick a guy in the stones while he is down huh?
  3. Wow, two full months between posts in this thread. Thankfully for my little boys sanity it is going to snow a bunch tomorrow. He has been asking about the snow forcast since he got a snowboard for Christmas! 5-7" is the forecast for the Oshkosh area!
  4. I just saw some pictures of NYE and I can honestly say that nothing "lame" happened at our party. Ouch, my eyes were red, glassy and only a squint already by 10:00 pm. I don't drink copious amounts very often so I'm guessing that is why it happened so early. IT WAS A FREAKING BLAST!!
  5. Yep. It's NYE, I'm drunk, the party is over and I can't wait until next years party! OOH YEAH BABY!
  6. We do a party with a bunch of couple friends and their kids from our subdivision. Everyone brings a hors d'oeuvres (sp?) to pass, an alcoholic drink to consume and leaves their keys at home because we can all walk home. Good times, funny stories and a tradition building.
  7. Same here NMF. My wife has the pleasure of entertaining a teething 5 month old and a bored 6 year old. Glad I'm actually working this week!!
  8. Teething. This is what is bothering me. Can't a child come with a full set at birth? Oof.
  9. Checked out Helena Beat...good song as well. Thanks! I do mainly buy songs one at a time...haven't purchased a CD in probably 5 years (maybe longer actually). I remember when an entire disc could hold my attention (Appetite for Destruction, Kill 'em All, Metallica Black, Nineteen Naughty III, Crash - DMB) but that just isn't the case any more... Sidebar - I have never listened to the Black Keys but have been told that they are great by many people. Any recommendations for their best (in your opinion) singles?
  10. I am really old (34)! That said, I have sold my soul to the Hits 1 and 90's on 9 and Lithium on XM so you guys are probably going to laugh. Also, I do not purchase CD's, only iTunes... Favorite songs of 2011 -L.M.F.A.O - Party Rock Anthem and Sexy and I know it. There, I said it. Trash away!! Honorable mentions go to: Super Bass (Nicki Minaj) Grenade (Bruno Mars) Pumped up Kicks (Foster the People) Black and Yellow (Wiz Khalifa)
  11. It's mind-blowing that they seem to be ready to just count on it. It's not like he was a special player prior to last season.Agree 100% brettac...McGehee should be DFA'd...not counted on to bounce back. I shudder at the thought of seeing him at 3rd for 130 games next year..
  12. firejohnnynarron.com is still available!!!
  13. I love how you never really have anything to add dlk9s...just another snarky gif. Great addition to the conversation!
  14. I tend to remember that incident more than the average person because Manny was my favorite prospect. Plus, while it may be coincidence, if you look at Manny's career splits pre-assault and post-assault you will see a drastically different pitcher. http://brewersfandemonium...Narveson-up#reply-539060 trwi7 wrote: Hammer wrote: Does anyone have the "magic" to run his numbers pre and post Prince Fielder assault in the dugout? Curious... Pre Prince (includes 2007): 145.1 IP, 3.90 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, 9.10 H/9, 4.33 BB/9, 7.61 K/9 Post Prince (includes playoffs): 108 IP, 6.42 ERA, 1.81 WHIP, 11.67 H/9, 4.58 BB/9, 8.5 K/9
  15. Changed that for sarcasm. "a great teammate"? Really? I'm going to pose that question to Manny Parra on Twitter and see what his reply is...
  16. Wow, they're willing to pay him until he's 47? #DontBuyHisListedAge
  17. I love how so many people complain that our SS is the worst player in the majors and then dislike the fact that the Crew could sign arguably one of the best SS's in MLB. I know that the length of the possible deal seems a bit scary but it's time for the Brewers to step in with the big boys. If the team continues to draw 3 million per year, gets the increased revenue from the upcoming TV contract, adds more revenue every year w/ postseason baseball in MKE...why wouldn't they go and nail-down the big fish that they so desperately need on the left side of the infield? I hate to use an old cliche but I'm guessing that Mark A understands that you need to spend money to keep making money. Relatively inexpensive teams like the Brewers had in 2011 don't seem to string 90+ win seasons together very often...
  18. Heard that he hurt his elbow throwing beer cans into empty fried chicken buckets in the clubhouse on an offday... Bah dum bum crash!
  19. How is that a positive? I could give a crap if I ever see him play again when he leaves. The main positive is the fact that he would be the Cubs 1B when he regresses to even a worse fielder and under-earns his contract by far...
  20. I like Doug Melvin but it sucks that we have to constantly say stuff like "All he's done is hit, though, and if someone like Rickie Weeks can work himself into a competent defender, then why not Scooter."...
  21. Agree. Drop YunE6, McGehee, Counsell and add Reyes/Furcal, Gamel, Green and a FA RF and the OBP issue is helped a ton, defense is helped (Hart at 1st s/b pretty good) and the loss of Prince is not as horrid as some have stated it would be.
  22. Elitist, know-it-all posters. Whew, I feel better.
  23. There has been nothing said about this at all. Plus KRod get extra money added onto his contract this year in order for that vesting option not to vest. I don't see why the Brewers would have had to put that in there in order for his vesting option not to vest. It was talked about quite a bit actually on twitter and mlb radio. While I didn't remember the correct decision on this, saying "There has been nothing said about this at all" makes you sound like you know everything that has ever been said about baseball. Knock it off...ok? Nobody likes that type of elitist attitude. Jsonline article
  24. I could have sworn that he will not be offered arby as part of his dropping the vesting part of his contract...am I remembering this incorrectly? Hence...no picks?
  25. My secret to weight loss this week: Get really sick. Hang around the mall, go to the walk-in clinic and read a book, volunteer to chaperone for your kids school trip...I don't care which. Just make sure you catch the stomach flu that is going around! I had it for 3 days, lost 7 lbs and 3 days have gone by and I haven't gained an ounce back! Ha to those that insist on staying healthy!
