  1. I don’t think it really matters which 2 of Lockridge, Perkins or Mitchell make the OD roster. As we have seen with how the Arnold/Murphy duo manage their roster there should be plenty of opportunities for all 3 OFs to play backup to Yelich, Chourio and Frelick. There is absolutely no reason that a platoon of 2 of the 3 players at any one time during the season shouldn’t work out. As Matt mentioned, with a 162 game season, it is almost certain all 3 probably will be on the roster at some point this year due to injuries, slumps, trades, and right/left hitting game situations. Let them fight it out all season and play the hot hand. After all competition should make the team stronger and the 3 better players. With the Brewers depth this should be a perfect situation.
  2. Couple of comments: I agree that both Hobbs and Banks were terrible deals. Neither should have been signed to the contracts for the amount of money they were given. No way should they have even entertained the idea that Hobbs could have played a boundary corner when he failed there multiple times with the Raiders. Then including his injury history, just a huge mistaking signing him. Banks was a poor signing as well, however with the Jenkins’ injury situation and just getting older, that signing wasn’t as bad. i was really hoping they would sign Chenal, as that would have mitigated losing Quay Walker and missing Parsons the for the early part of next season. Also, Harvgrave was a good signing, as he should be an above average DT in 2026 and hopefully 2027. No way will/should GB SIGN AN ALMOST a 40 yo DL player for the same reasons with increase risk signings for such a player. Even the accounting for cap increases in 2026 or 2027 almost all of it will be given to Wyatt ($13M-17M AAV) Watson ($13M - 30M AAV)Kraft ($4-20M AAV) and even Reed ($2.5M-20M AAV) not including other players that will need extensions. I don’t agree that MLF is “a REALLY GOOD HC” (maybe an average or at best a slightly above average HC) . I also don’t think you can count on LVN to be an average an Edge rusher.
  3. Giants throwing a perfect game after 6 innings. Impressive!
  4. Too bad that we needed him this season.
  5. Brewers win, Brewers win, Brewers win a pitching duel 13-12.
  6. Black with his 6th RBI now.
  7. USA USA USA
  8. Here’s to the best fielding second baseman in baseball history. An HOFer, with 8 gold gloves and a 10 time all-star Bill Mazeroski passed yesterday at age 89. He belted one of the most consequential hits in World Series history when he hit the only game 7, WS winning walk-off HR in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the 1960 championship for the Pirates. Watching this game on our first TV left an everlasting memory and love of baseball on me. Many a time playing sandlot baseball I would picture myself at bat in the bottom of the ninth and hitting a HR just like Mazeroski. “Maz” (and The Glove) as he was known, was a defensive maestro at 2nd base with a major league record by turning 1709 double plays. He still holds over a half dozen fielding records for a second baseman. Many players commented that he was a wizard at making a pivot when turning a DP. If you have some extra time please read his biography on the SABR website, an excellent read.

  9. We would have a better 2026 MLB team without Woodruff.
  10. Any of these coaches would be a significant improvement over Bisaccia. Have someone other than MLF make this hire, PLEASE!!!
  11. You (the fans) are indirectly paying for the advertising dollars these companies are funneling as MLB income, too, by paying for the increase prices you spend for their products to mitigate their advertising costs (the cost of doing business). That is beauty of capitalism, almost all of this money is initiating from us, the consumer(as always) and not from the advertisers. GREED has been responsible for the high prices spiraling out of control.
  12. The fans (population) who purchase the products from the companies who advertise during MLB programming are really funding the majority of that advertising income. These companies wouldn’t advertise if there wasn’t significant an increase in their own profits (increased cost of cars, alcohol, drugs etc.). So you are indirectly paying for those advertising dollars as well. You must account for that, too.
  13. Then they will price themselves out of business. Good for both of them. They deserve it by being so greedy.
  14. The only problem with this comment it is we (the fans) that foot the bill for all of these profits. If the players and owners weren’t so greedy we would be paying significantly less for tickets, television, etc. that is mlb related. I don’t disagree with players getting 50%, however I really don’t care paying $50-100 per ticket, >$150.00 for a jersey or >$200 for EXTRA INNINGS.
  15. I’m confused as to Arnold’s most recent moves. He guts the left side of his infield and then signs McGuire and Sanchez as possible backup catchers with a young and promising Quero available. Unless he doesn’t have much faith in Quero’s future (especially defensively) any more.
  16. There is only one reason…$$$$$$$
  17. Minnesota is one of the worst teams in the Big 10. Looks like this will be another year of rebuilding.
  18. This team has been beyond embarrassing in 2026.
  19. Me thinks the Badgers were a mirage during the first portion of the season. At this rate they may struggle to play in the NCAA tournament.
  20. I’m beginning to think Hastings need to schedule several games with non-conference teams during the x-mas break so the players don’t get stale.
  21. Wild finally win a game in regulation 4-1 over the Flames.
  22. 5 lefties and 3 righties in the bullpen. That probably will change. Plus Arnold/Murphy will most likely will have 3-5 more RP in the pen before the end of the season. Who is in the pen on opening day is immaterial.
  23. Wild win 4-3 in a shootout after being down 3-0. This was their 21 overtime game this year (10th OT since 12-23). Kaprizov with only SO goal.
  24. Have anyone heard any reviews on MELANIA film yet?
