  1. 3-1 Diamondbacks and man on 1st and 1 out.
  2. I guess so. As they say appearances can be deceiving.
  3. Thanks. Where did you find that stat. I looked but couldn’t find it.
  4. It would be great to know which teams have the highest (or lowest) percentage of RISP actually score.
  5. Everything I’ve read states clutch hitting is a mirage, but it sure seems lately the Brewers are making it a thing.
  6. Another RISP bites the dust. Maybe they need the runner to steal home
  7. Lets see if they can get a RISP home.
  8. Anti-clutch hitting again. Must be the choke factor.
  9. For all the well deserved accolades that Counsell has received over the past years, it is a head scratcher how he has handled the playing time of several players this year. As this article attests Wiemer really hasn’t played very much since the end of July. It really doesn’t make much sense that he (and Arnold) hasn’t sent him to Nashville to get him some much needed playing time. Goodness, he needs the playing time and some confidence to further his career. It’s really is a crime for him to languish on the bench not playing at all and get much needed experience. Other than this, his handling Anderson, batting Frelick and Adames clean up and some of the ways how he has used Payamps, Elvis, Chafin and Wilson lately has been perplexing and not consistent with how he had handled the bullpen earlier this year.
  10. Buckle up only 23 games left in the season. Even though we don’t know how it will end it has been a successful season for our team. There hopefully will be many more “thrills and chills” left and may the best team win.
  11. Actually, you made it personal saying my opinion was “nonsense” and turned the whole discussion on its’ head. Just some advice rather than using negative words like nonsense, chill, etc. maybe just use statements like, “I don’t agree” or “This is what I think”. Using negative words makes people defensive and brings everyone down. All I’m asking is just have a little finesse or take to heart the proverb, “you get more flies with honey than vinegar”. It will go much further and people won’t just tune you out.
  12. I never said it was a “sure bet”. I just stated my opinion. Maybe instead of attacking and stating someone’s opinion as nonsense you could just state your own opinion. I understand why you make your statements personal rather than providing your opinion. But leaving out any personal feelings/comments you have toward the poster might be more advantageous for all. I believe this board is meant to provide everyones opinion. “This is a fan message board, for goodness sakes.”
  13. Nonsense? Evidently you already have their ticket punched as the NL Central Division champs. I just don’t think they have the offense to pull that off based upon their past 8 games, and almost the entire season. The great thing about sports is we shall see, won’t we?
  14. I believe the Brewers will get into the playoffs and then get swept in the first round. Not really different than the past 3 playoff series. Unless they can average 5-7 runs per game, which would be a long shot with the players currently on the team, they have very little chance of winning a playoff series much less beating the Braves or Dodgers. This team is constructed to challenge for a playoff spot, but not to go much further. They had their hot streak when they won 9 games in a row. Now they are playing back to their normal ways
  15. Your problem is that you can’t bring up any foibles Counsell or any Brewer players have, otherwise you are against the Brewers or even worse a Cubs fan.
  16. You must admit that there has been several head-scratching decisions Counsell has made over the past 3 series, especially associated with his bullpen usage. Actually, this comment was associated with benching Yelich (see page 8).
  17. You argument is deceptive. How does the Brewer record have anything to do with how badly Yelich is hitting? In fact using your premise maybe they would have won 12 in a row with an average hitting Yelich.
  18. That would be so un-Brewer like. The last time the Brewers had the audacity to make such a courageous decision like that was in 1974 when they brought up Robin Yount.
  19. He should just leave now, with all the poor decisions he has been making.
  20. Counsell seriously needs to sit him down for several games. If that means bench him, so be it. Craig really seems to be out of sync with his team. He hasn’t made a good decision for a while now.
