  1. Duran, Marte, and Williams would destroy the Brewers financial model. Also losing Peralta and Ashby (with Woodruff outside of their price range) result in a woefully weak SP staff.
  2. Wishing Woody would accept the OQ of $22M is like me wishing that I would dig up a 2 lb gold nugget while planting my vegetable garden next spring. Chances are extremelyunlikely.
  3. This wouldn’t solve this problem as once the smaller market teams extra picks reach FA they still wouldn’t be able to afford these player due to less funds. The smaller market teams would still remain farm teams to the larger market teams.
  4. Actually, not too far off. Panthers 3 scoring drives plus their longest drive ending in McKinney’s end zone interception. 8:39 Panthers 2nd drive, 2nd Quarter 5:31 Panthers 3rd drive. 2nd Quarter 4:15 Panthers 5th drive. 3rd Quarter 2:32 Panthers 7th drive. 4th Quarter Total = 21 minutes 17 seconds.42 plays. Panthers TOP = 29 minutes 10 seconds. 55 plays
  5. Turns out they didn’t need to. The MLF/Love combo is overrated.
  6. 3 drives for almost half a game, unbelievable. Wow that is really poor defense even if they gave up only 16 points. Goes to show that you can spin stats almost any way you want to prove a point. Makes it even worse that they didn’t need to punt.
  7. A little overconfident there, a 25 point win??? After the Browns game anyone who thought they could blow out any NFL team is a serious “Homer”. Fans should understand that this team will fight it out with 5-6 teams to be in the playoffs this year after watching the past 8 games.
  8. Genius play caller. He’s great at time management too.
  9. Could someone please tell MLF that there is a clock in football.
  10. Doesn’t look like that will be happening
  11. Buehler…….Buehler? It appears that by mid-season Walker won’t be answering that query at the MLB level.
  12. At 33-34 next year I believe it’s a pipe dream that he pick up >1 mph in velo. With his recent injury history I think it would be a vast overpay for any offer greater than $12 M for 1 year which obviously would be turned down. I think it would be extremely doubtful he would be a MLB SP past 36-37. It would be in the Brewers best interest to keep Peralta another year and wish Woodruff the best in contiuing his career with another team.
  13. Q. Walker had a nice game today. Defense also got a turnover. Small steps. Hopefully they do better against a starting QB.
  14. Primarily the defensive backfield, focussing on the cornerbacks. Run defense was OK today, but they did give up 94 yards.
  15. So why didn’t they keep Joe Berry and Mike Pettine around.
  16. Everyone must agree, MLF can’t pick a good DC.
  17. I see Hafely following in the footsteps of Joe Berry, Mike Pettine, Dom Capers and Bob Sanders.
