Maybe they can work a trade out prior to June 1st with another team along with $$$ in addition to a lower draft pick (a 2nd). I’m not sure if the $$$$ thing and if they can work out a pre- June 1st trade would be viewed by the powers that be by the NFL rules.

Unfortunately I have to agree with this statement. The time to have traded Rodgers was last off-season to the Broncos. If I remember correctly 2 #1s, Fant and a cornerback (I don’t remember who tho). It would have been a gamble for Gutey to trade a back to back MVP QB, but as they say better to trade a player too early than too late. I don’t believe we could get more than a 2nd with a conditional 1st after the year he had along with him turning 40. Posters that think getting back two 1st are just deluding themselves.

I agree with you, but Walker has not been impressive this year. I know a rookie but Gutey could have picked up another vet.
