  1. Wiemer almost caught Turang at home on Winker’s hit.
  2. Maybe Counsell should move Turang and Wiemer to the top of the order.
  3. Wiemer makes a lot more sense than Frelick at this point in the season. Highly debatable that Frelick has earned it more than Wiemer. Glad that Counsell and Arnold sure don’t believe that. 1. Right handed hitter 2. More power 3. Better outfielder a. Faster runner b. Stronger arm c. Center and right outfielder vs, left and center. 4. More seniority/maturity/experience. 5. Better base runner
  4. I’m not adverse to seeing Turang replacing Adames in 2024.
  5. Adames with 2 bonehead plays this inning.
  6. Missguided throw to first. 3 shortstops on the infield…yeah
  7. There is too much greed and the large market owners wouldn’t even share $1.00 with any other team if they could get away with it. What is the average length of time that any owner keeps a team? If I were to guess 30-40 years at the most, just about the length from the time of purchase to when they lose interest or the cap. gains tax will kill them when they pass ownership to their families. I really don’t see the owners doing anything about sharing tv revenue or to make the haves an have nots have closer revenue because most owners don’t really think there is a problem.
  8. Both the Reds and Cubs should be better than last year and I suspect the race for second place will be a dogfight between them and the Brewers with a difference of less than 4 games. The Cards are the favorite and they should be with a much better everyday lineup. For the Brewers to win the division they will need Burnes and Woodruff to have seasons similar or better than 2021 and with their current bullpen that may not be enough. With the change in scheduling the division winner may win only 85-86 games.
  9. The alma mater wins……YES!!! BTW the next games are in Vegas/Paradise NV.
  10. “In no way…” seems like a really definitive statement to me. When you use that strong of a comment, maybe you should skip the IMO it just waters down what you really have to say, IMO of course. Also please try to not be so snarky in your rude attacks on others.
  11. Are you getting this information from an inside NFL source? Or do you have any other credible sources? Or are you just making an assumption and running with it or basing it upon the personal opinion of one talking head?
  12. I really don’t see why posters get so upset that a Rodgers-Jets deal isn’t close to completion now. What’s the hurry? The draft doesn’t occur until the end of April, and the likelihood of a Packer division title in 2023 is low with Love in his first year as a starter. The drop dead date for the deal to get done is opening day in September. With the stronger draft in 2024, it may work out to their advantage to get a pick then (although it may be lower). Who’s to say that Rodgers won’t play poorly again next year and the Jets record won’t improve (after all they still are the Jets). My advice is to sit back and enjoy the ride and entertainment value. The most likely scenario is still the Jets will fold and send their first round pick to us long before then, rather than to give up on the 2023 season.
  13. Amen brother.
  14. I would bet he would have much better success with Sean Payton as his HC and his offensive track record with QBs, than he did with Nathaniel. I’m sure the primary reasons the Broncos hired Hackett was his success with Rodgers.
  15. I believe the only reason they hired Hackett as the OC was to help the Jets acquire Rodgers. Hackett wasn’t a hot commodity after his stint in Denver this past year and I’m sure there weren’t many teams knocking on his door to hire him. He really didn’t have great success previously as an OC with the Bills and Doug Marrone as the HC and EJ Manuel as their QB and Jax with Gus Bradley and Blake Bortels. In fact, both of those teams were much more successful running teams, not really the problem with the Jets offense in 2022. The Packers were really his first successful OC job, where he had an excellent relationship.with Rodgers. I’m sure the the price to acquire Jackson would be much more than 2 first round picks. IMHO, I would bet it would cost them possibly up to 3 first round picks a couple of second rounders along with other young vet(s) for a former MVP in the absolute prime of his career. He is also one of the best rushing QBs in the NFL, one of the prerequisites of a successful 21st century QB. I would put the Jets odds of seriously pursuing Jackson at around 5%. We need to have a little patience as it appears that neither the Jets or Packers are in any hurry to get this trade done before the draft.
  16. Or maybe in early September. Why do anything until then if the Jets drag their heels. We owe absolutely nothing to Rodgers and especially the Jets. It’s the off-season, why would the Packers or any Packer fans care what happens until the day before game 1.
  17. It is really difficult to project players prior to the combine and college pro days, so much changes afterwards. This year’s draft depends on trading Rodgers. At the moment the 2 best options in need of a QB are either the Raiders or Jets. From a Packers viewpoint the best case scenario would be LV where the 7th pick would be in play. If they are able to swindle this pick from the Raiders I would hope they would prioritize the Edge or OT positions. Edge Rushers that might be available at #7 would be: Tyree Wilson, Texas Tech, Keion White, Ga. Tech, Miles Murphy, Clemson at #13 (Jets) or #15: Nolan Smith and Derick Hall from Ga, or Lukas Van Ness, Iowa. Offensive Tackles- Paris Johnson Jr., OSU or Broderick Jones, Ga., *Peter Skoronski, Northwestern (currently there is a chance he might be available. But Bob’s grandson could drop a bit with combine or pro day results). Picking a TE or S in the top 15 picks is more of a gamble. There always seems to be good ones later in the draft (although S has become almost as important as the big guys ). If you’re looking for a Kittle or Kelce the most similar TE in this draft would be Dalton Kincaid from Utah. He is very quick off the ball, explosive, a fluid route runner, hard to bring down and is great after the catch. Michael Mayer lacks Kincaid’s elite athleticism and speed, however he is more physical and a much better run blocker. However if your looking for a blocking TE, the massive Darnell Washington from Ga. would be a better bet than Mayer, but wasn’t used as much as a receiver at Ga. What makes me nervous in regards to Mayer is Notre Dame overhype. The 2 safeties with 1-2 round grades are Brian Branch from Alabama and Antonio Johnson from Texas A & M. Both have excellent tackling skills which always is a Packer weakness. Branch is the better pass defender with Johnson better against the run. Of course if Rodgers is traded to LV, my dream would be that one of the 4 QBs would fall and still be available at #7…….maybe Will Levis from Kentucky, C.J. Stroud from OSU, Anthony Richardson, Fla. (likely) or Bryce Young from Alabama would be a great option if they still have any questions about Jordan Love.
  18. You must have meant Garrett Mitchell, lol.
  19. Sorry! I guess I was just wishful thinking. I’ll be better next time. OK?
  20. Well I believe this just cements Burnes moving on from the Brewers in either 2023 or 2024. I seriously doubt that there is any way Burnes wants to stay a Brewer.

  24. He is an average journeyman quarterback at best based up those stats. And those stats are his best with only 7 of 17 seasons starting 10 games or more.
