  1. Preston Wilson has a .691 OPS away from Coors Field this year, lets hope that trend continues throughout the series.
  2. John "The Nugget" Foster on the mound now!!
  3. I dont know where Turner Field is in Atlanta, but according to weather.com all of Fulton County is getting pounded, as it is pretty much covered in "bright red"...we'll see if we get this one in.
  4. The Braves have to be the best organization in baseball. They keep producing sooo many young players it is incredible. Yeah, they'll go out and get a Maddux, a Sheffield or a Hudson but they surround them with guys who can play. Just look at that home grown lineup. All but Estrada, and they got him before he was a big leaguer. Not to mention Francuer, Langerhans, marte...etc. And they dont normally sign FA, they trade for guys with other young talent...amazing.
  5. Yeah, if Out of the Park Baseball 6 is any indication, Gamble could be a steal. He kills in my game, and is actually in by 2006 starting rotation.
  6. exactly JBriggs. It would have been a great time to look for 2-3 innings from De La Rosa...why the heck else is he even on the team?
  7. How about 1.) Santos had already tossed 80 pitches, and none of them were any good 2.) Santos can't bunt, nobody on the team can bunt...and in fact Chad was thrown out at 3rd. 3.) I am sick of giving up outs for no reason. PH Durrington or Magruder, go for a hit and see about a big inning with the top of the order up next. 4.) even if successful the way the offense has been going Clark would have most likely popped out or k'd (in fact he popped out) other than that it was the perfect call.
  8. Considering we are in the bottom of the 5th....this one is as good as over. Hey Ned. Good thing you had Victor bunt in the 5th (unsuccessfully)...with the way he was throwing the first 4 innings I dont know what we would have done if he couldnt continue pitching. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  9. We might be the worst defensive team in baseball. Another couple of crappy plays costs us a run. But defense doesn't matter, right? Heh. dont you know that errors mean nothing and the Brewers are #1 in defensive efficiency, that is turning hit balls into outs. On another note, Santos is making that bunt decision by Yost look better and better with each pitch he throws. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  10. If I were there I'd be protesting the call....to bunt. Santos has looked like garbage today, I would have PH Durrington there and brought in DLR to pitch.
  11. How about the coaching staffs at each level of the organization.
  12. Fun Da Men Tals Nobody turns a single into a double better than the Brewers do. Man. I am gonna catch hell for this...but the coaching staff should be held somewhat accountable for a lack of fundamentals. Mental errors, physical errors, poor bunting, poor baserunning......
  13. Fun Da Men Tals Good teams have them, bad teams dont. We dont.
  14. Its best to have our worst starter against their best (in the series anyway, Dontrelle not scheduled). Also, Ohka was last scheduled against Minnesota and Johan Santana...and we won that game!!
  15. No matter how tight it is, any time you need to pass 7 teams to win the wild card you have a long way to go. Its like a long distance race, you pass people one at a time, pick the person directly in front of you and get past them, then worry about the next guy. Before you know you are in the lead with only worrying about the leader at the end.
  16. Instant classic thread baseball is superstition haiku tomorrow
  17. more details on Lee? The Cubs can not stayhealthy We will pass them soon
  18. For something so dumb the haiku thread is so cool Maybe I was wrong
  19. This is ******** but who am I to turn down A broke Belcher bat
  20. Beating the Marlins leads to a winning road trip before All Star break
  21. DONT TEASE ME BREWERS!!!! THIS IS ABUSIVE!!!
