  1. This isn't Brady Clarks fault. I have a few questions though. 1. Why was Yost stealing Spivey and Clark with less than 2 outs with our 3-4-5 coming up?? If there are 2 outs, I can see it because then a hit scores a run. But we traded Pods so we have some pop in the middle of the lineup, not a couple of slap hitters who can't hit any extra base hits. Besides, neither Clark or Spivey are above average base stealers. Bad move, I hope it isn't a season long pattern 2. Why take out Santos after 5? We don't have the bullpen to hold a lead for 4 innings...or at least I don't think we do. Why not bunt Santos there and let him come out for the 6th, his Pitch Count was bout 85. Instead, we traded Santos for a Wes Helms inning ending Double PLay and Tommy "the arsonist" Phelps? 3. Why carry only 4 OF? After we used Magruder for PH duty, Yost could not PH for Jenkins even if he wanted to because, who else are you putting in RF, Hall? Durro? We might need someone like Krynzel to play all OF spots and steal a base. 4. Where the hell was Obermueller? Turnbow did alright but I would have gone with Wes. Is Phelps a situational guy? Why was he in for so damn long? I might have used Obie in the 6th and 7th as well. 5. Batting average with RISP? Non existent, welcome to the second half of 2004. puke.
  2. You guys, this is Glendon - Freakin' - Rusch. Ugh. I can't even get into the chat room to complain because it says it is full. Plus, the jerk off next to me is a Cubs fan and he cheers extra loud so I can here him...what a jerk.
  3. Listening to the game on the radio, it sounds like Sheets didn't have much out there today. The Cubs did a great job working the count, which is much more than I can say for the Brewers, they sounded like they were lost out there today.
  4. I think Marvin Gaye said it best when he said "Let's Get it On" By the way, what do you guys who were at either of the two exhibition games at Miller Park think about the new super loud-super annoying "Git R Done" bit they do with the highlights? I thought it was one of the most idiotic things I have ever seen and could not wait for it to end. I couldn't understand what the redneck in the "intro" was saying and could only figure it out when they flashed "git R done" on the screen. Thoughts?
  5. Why was Damian Miller replaced?
  6. I'm getting visions of Kramerica industries dancing in my head. Ah yes, and a beautiful image it must be....imagine the possibilities. The Oil Tanker Bladder System would just be the tip of the iceberg for BF.net types... Kramer: ?So that?s the bedroom. Here?s the bathroom. If you need to, you can familiarize yourself with the kitchen?Yeah, go ahead and look through some of the drawers. Jerry: And you are? Darren: Oh, hey, I?m Darren. I?m new here. Kramer: Yeah, that?s Jerry, you don?t have to worry about him. Why don?t you go across the hall and get started on that mail. Darren: Right! Kramer: He?s a go getter! Jerry: Who?s he? Kramer: My intern from NYU. Well, you remember my corporation, Kramerica Industries. Jerry: Alright. Kramer: Well, apparently NYU is very enthusiastic about their students getting some real world corporate experience. Jerry: But you only provide fantasy world corporate experience. Kramer: Well, this will really free up my time so I can focus on more important things, like my bladder system. Jerry: Alright, it?s time to go. Kramer: Jerry, it?s not for people, it?s for oil tankers. Jerry: (sarcastically) I know! (Jerry tries to shove Kramer out the door) Kramer: You see the idea is for a rubber ball inside the tanker so if it crashes, the oil won?t spill out. Jerry: Actually, that is not a bad idea. Kramer: (smiles) yeah.
  7. 5. Employs full-time journalists Full-time is a little vague since I can't imagine Drew Olson or Hardricourt can be called Full-time given there absolute lack of content (original or any). Won't Bill quit his other job? If he won't cooperate this is about the only sticking point. You need an independantly wealthy Brewerfan who's willing to take the Full-Time Journalist job for no pay..... Students might qualify if they don't have another job. Full-time Journalist could just be anyone without another source of income. Are we sure Bill doesn't want to give up his job? This is the stickler.....let me think a bit on this one. Can you say "intern"? BF.net can offer internships (by definition unpaid) to journalism majors to run around WI and get the dirt on all kinds of baseball. From Brewers, to T-Rats, to Colleges. Maybe even take a trip to Nashville.
  8. 1 out double with runners on 1st and 2nd, by either Texiera or Blalock. He got out of it though.
  9. I am watching the game on MLB.tv, I got my brother to buy a subscription, and he live in Colorado, so I get the Crew games, aw yeah.
  10. Three Run Inside the parker for Adrian Beltre - Clark falls, hurts himself a little (sounds like he is fine) and the wheels fall off for Hendrickson.
  11. Nice, Sutton nonchalantly called a single up the middle for Jeremy Reed...until JJ Hardy came out of nowhere to snag it, and throw out Reed. Nice.
  12. Question - If Ben pitches great today, can he still break with the club or has his ticket to Nashville already been punched?
  13. The guy doing the PBP in the Cubs D'Backs game is John Sciambi and this from an article I found: And lift a glass to Boston College grad John "Boog" Sciambi, who just landed a gig on ESPN to broadcast 30 games on Monday and Wednesday nights, while also doing his own show on ESPN Radio in Miami. Sciambi, 34, began his career as a play-by-play man for the independent Boise Hawks, and had been with the Marlins the last eight seasons.
  14. I think Sutcliffe just said that Glendon Rusch was "an excellent option" to have to go to for the rotation.
  15. He fouled a ball of his foot yesterday - he is fine, just a litte sore.
  16. Something just does not feel right with Jim talking about how good our prospects are at the same time Hendrickson is absolutely sucking and Weeks and Fielder K'ing.
  17. Zambrano is probably the Cubs best pitcher - and that includes a healthy Kerry Wood and Mark Prior.
  18. Congrats to Wes Obermueller on making the rotation once again in 2005.
  19. I know if I was back in Illinois I would be in heaven too. RyDogg's brain short circuits and turns to mush as he tries to come up with any scenario in which being in Illinois would be heaven.
  20. Steve Moss made a spectacular catch...and from the sounds of it, he isnt hurt. wow.
  21. No I think we cut Matheny, or at least non-tendered him, in order to make room for Henry Blanco. We traded Vina to Stl for Juan Acevedo - whowas later flipped for Dejean. It could have been Brad Nelson who hit the HR because many minor league guys are playing today because of the Split Squad. ANd Bob just confirmed it.
  22. Matheny is a monster. Why did we get rid of him again?? Was that a Taylor move?
