  1. This has nothing to do with my point. She is not a member of the media. Why is she pretending to be one by asking the manager questions after the game?? I don't care if I watch the game or not. We all should be getting answers from the media as to why he did what he did. That is exactly what I am speaking to. She is fine in game. Your point is totally irrelevant to the issue of screening for Counsell. If the team employee is asking 50 percent of the questions postgame the fans are being shortchanged. Period.
  2. Last night was the final straw in the issue that has been obvious for some time. The brewers are using Sophia Minneart as a smokescreen. Last night after the game the only questions should have been about why in the heck are you pulling a guy who has a two hitter when he just threw 5 pitches in an inning. Why try to cover 6 outs when you only maybe have to cover 3. First question is exactly that. Counsell gives a empty response about he thought he did fine. Instead of the proper follow up that needed to take place like did he ask out?? Why Perdomo etc Sophia Minneart stops the questioning with a question about Adames swinging at the first pitch in the 10th inning. WHAT?? It was an obvious attempt as a Brewers employee to keep the media at bay for Counsell. It was so obvious in fact that we should as fans be outraged. In what way is it proper for a Brewers employee to ask questions of the team they work for after a game?? In most pressers Counsell takes about 8-10 questions. Somehow the employee is asking 4-5 of them every night. In what way does this benefit the fan who wants to know why the Titanic is sinking?? Now I do not blame Minneart for this. She is doing what she has been instructed to do by her employer. I can say for a fact that I would not like asking my boss tough questions after my company has a terrible day. So why put her in this position? Who does it help?? Well it definitely helps shield them from question from the real media by watering down every single presser with stuff like how ranchy were the seeds tonight Craig?? What did you do on your birthday?? Madness. We need answers. We need explanations and we are not going to get them from inside the house. I am not sure if this is allowed to happen with other major league teams?? Is Aaron Boone being grilled by a clubhouse kid?? What is this really about?? This team is being manage in a mickey mouse way that doesn't feel major league in any way. This is just another example. If Sophia has to be there with a recorder and a camera fine but she should not be asking questions. Period. It is a conflict of interest, and the lack of transparency is outrageous. Fans get what they put up with. We need to ask tougher questions. There is no reason that posters on this board are being asked tougher questions than the manager.
  3. Avi Garcia has 7 hr and a 564 ops. Wow I am shocked he's been that bad. Give Stearns credit for that decision.
  4. Rodgers impressive. Big win because tomorrow is a bad matchup.
  5. Taylor sick of watching that Mitchell kid play. Good for him.
  6. I like him don't get me wrong. I just think of foundational as a Braun type guy who if healthy you are not moving him. If someone comes to us with a offer I'm taking it and running. He isn't going to make that much of a difference with this crew.
  7. No. Brewers got him for JBJ after having one of the worst seasons of all time. Nah.
  8. The thing about Counsell is he doesn't show any fire or intensity. Postgame even he never expresses any urgency or accountability. That's a red flag for me. Give me fire and urgency over the Mr. cool we will turn it around someday. Along with several hundred million dollars the Mets got better because Buck is a known hard ass who plays no favorites. Money definitely matters but it isn't everything.
  9. Well he is running them out there. He picked them along with Stearns. Fire them both that's cool.
  10. Yankees 25 over 500 and they are calling for Boone to be fired now. Milwaukee fans and media need to step it up. Counsell should be on the hot seat. He has melted down.
  11. Box has an era under three because he has mastered given up runs that belong to everyone else. Smart
  12. I have officially reached the point of embarrassment for Counsell. He truly is like a pitcher who has lost it and doesn't know where the ball is going. He is clueless.
  13. Agreed. That said this kid is one of your building blocks. In my opinion you are taking the bat out of his hands in game 3. I hate it. Imagine if Braun or Fielder was being treated that way when they were coming up. It would have been silly.
  14. I think he starts the year as the dh. Of course if he goes 0-8 he probably gets sent down.
  15. His first career hit was against a lefty that drove in two runs. There is no reason to pinch hit him there. Zero.
  16. There is an argument that the Brewers were more fun to watch in the bad old days. I for one agree. There was nothing like watching and dreaming that Bill Hall was going to our Derek Jeter at shortstop. This team just is blah.
  17. No question about pinch hitting after the game no questions about letting Box die on the vine. No question about Cruz beating you by himself. Media is as bad as the team currently.
  18. Who beside Adames Tellez and Hiura should be locks to return as position players?? You could make the case for Renfroe I guess but we got to go young and I would cash out on him now. Pretty sad state of affairs
  19. The lean back approach that has him and Adames hitting 220.
  20. The over managing of the position players and pinch hitting for no reason is only made sillier by the statue inaction of the bullpen. There is an argument to be made Craig Counsell has had the worst year of any manager besides Tony Larussa who is 80 years old.
  21. One team just watching the same guy kill them game after game is a fireable offense. Someone has to be held accountable.
  22. Craig Counsell you cannot sit there and watch that happen. You have a 9 man bullpen. It is just not acceptable.
