  1. Ballsy to keep Turnbow in, but at least they're not throwing Dessens out there for long relief Turnbow is still in so they DON'T have to throw Dessens in extras.
  2. If they don't bring T-Bow back (assuming it's tied), then the double-switch really made no sense.
  3. TGJ. Is he on strike from going into the dugout. He is constantly on base.
  4. Tony Gwynn is sick right now. He needs more P.T. if he's going to keep this up.
  5. Bad Chad Moeller is called up by the Reds Apparently they only remember the cycle he hit off of them. Ahhhhhhhh, selective memory.
  6. It is kind of ignorant to believe that everything would have happened the same way, had Counsell not been thrown out stealing. Pitch selection, and batter's approach at the plate would have been different. I absolutely agree with you on this point, but by the same rationale it may have changed the following events to the point that the eighth inning would not have happened the way it did.
  7. I still have a feeling Eaton throws a 27-inning shutout and the Brewers lose on a walkoff wild pitch by Gabe Gross, because Ned already used each relief pitcher for only one inning. Hey! That would mean that Dessens hadn't given up a run! I'll take it.
  8. LF Tony Gwynn Jr. I would like to see TGJ start today as well. Hopefully Ned feels the same way and gets our three hottest outfielders (by performance, not sexiness) in the line-up together.
  9. He always has. Beltran had tied him in the 8th
  10. Weeks Hardy Fielder Hall Estrada Mench Hart Graffy Bush Just great. We have one hit through eight innings yesterday and the guy who got the hit isn't even in the line-up.
  11. I'll complain that Krispy Kreme hasn't made him their spokesman yet I was stunned that this was in blue.
  12. Bush's picture looks like Jake Gyllenhaal, and Eaton's looks like Ricky Williams on the sideline doing the "get high" celebration.
  13. We also miss their two best starters. IMO, we miss their 3/4 best starters: Glavine Maine El Duke (recently on DL) Pedro (kind of cheap since he's been out and will continue to be out)
  14. Mets down 3-2. They have to win today to have a chance at having the best record in the N.L. with a sweep of the Brewers. Of course, I'm picking the Crew to take 2 of 3. Why? Two reasons: They're hot and I'm a homer.
  15. IMy prediction came true! Prince was 2 for 3 on his 23rd birthday.
  16. That would be correct..the front page of MLB.com says that the Brewers haven't lost a CV start yet. I though Villanueva got dibs on the CV nickname.
  17. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCE! Blast one in celebration.
  18. Wow, I love this blog. Interesting. I never thought of us as the Listach-less Brewers, but I guess we are.
  19. Alas! I was going tonight and now I'm not. Plans fell through and people dropped out and, with my recent car problems, I will not be in attendence. Woe is me.
  20. Ben Sheets will homer in this series. Pinch hitting, of course.
  21. As a lefty, I wonder who Chico would rather face, Hardy or Prince. I think Hardy and Prince's hot streaks are going to start ushering the way for a Bill Hall hotstreak a la last night.
