  1. Please point to where I ever said Milwaukee develops hitters better than Atlanta? I never even mentioned Atlanta. I just pushed back against the idea that Arcia is some glaring success story for Atlanta when he's way overperforming his underlying numbers.
  2. Okay if it's about actual production...then how can you say we have had no success? Wong, Renfroe, Peterson, Urias, Tellez, Adames are all guys we acquired in the last 3 years and all of them hit better with the Brewers than they had before they got to Milwaukee
  3. Orlando Arcia has a .307 xwOBA this year and is dramtically overperforming that xwOBA.
  4. His approach changed to an approach nothing like the rest of the Brewers hitters...so why do you think the Brewers told Cutch to hit like that?
  5. Hader's numbers are wrong. You aren't including last season's numbers, but this trade is a win for the Brewers. We ended up getting Gasser, Contreras, Payamps, And Yeager for 1 year and 2 months of Hader, a 3 out RP. Gasser had some early season command issues but has been incredible over the last 6-7 starts. Contreras is a well above average catcher with 5 years of control. Payamps has been a very dependable high leverage RP with 3 years of control. Yeager is a minor league RP who has intriguing stuff. Did the trade have some locker room impact last season? Yes, but I am still hesitant to say it's the reason we missed the playoffs considering we played basically the same level baseball from June 1st to the end of the season. Our high leverage bullpen has been the best in baseball this season. Leads in WPA. 1st in SD:MD ratio.
  6. What exactly are you mad at them for? Do you think they told Cutch to be more aggressive at the plate? That doesn't really seem to lineup with how other Brewers hitters approach hitting.
  7. If Wilson hadn't pitched in that 7-2 loss, he would have been available for both an inning last night and pitching today. I think it's a perfectly adequate gripe. Why is your 5th highest leverage pitcher throwing in the 8th down 5 runs and not Matt Bush the last guy in the bullpen?
  8. If you were to gripe about something, it would be using Wilson in the 8th inning down 7-2 against the Mets instead of Bush. Wilson is available to pitch last night if it wasn't for that inning.
  9. After Counsell's comments last night, a Bush DFA felt like the only option. I don't think I have ever seen a pointed negative comment like that directly towards a player before.
  10. CLAYTON ANDREWS HIVE RISE UP!!
  11. Just a reminder that the Cardinals gave up 5 years of Oviedo for 2 months of Quintana and Oviedo has already accumulated more fWAR than Quintana did as a Cardinal and would currently be their 2nd best SP lol.
  12. Mine as well. I think he can be an infield version of Tyrone. Honestly I hope he gets a chance at some point this season. He’s mashed LHP his whole minor league career.
  13. I should add he needs some more time in AAA adjusting to not having the tacky baseballs. Last appearance was his first without a BB. He’s also only thrown 105 total innings since 2018. He still does not have much professional experience as a pitcher.
  14. The dude got absolutely rocked lol. He gave up a hard hit line drive single, a rocket double from Cutch (that would have been a HR at AmFam), and a rocket HR to Santana. He's absolute garbage. Brewers probably have at least 10 better RP in the minors than him at this very moment.
  15. Joseph, I will not allow you to slander Darrell Thompson like this!
  16. Between Matt Bush and the St. Louis Cardinals, you really have a thing for believing in lost causes
  17. I mean they are in the midst of 17 games in a row with Miley fresh off the IL and Freddy pitching more than they probably would have wanted him to at the start of the year. They clearly felt their SP needed an extra day during a tough stretch.
  18. 100%. Our A bullpen could probably even use another day off, but our SP and offense are both unreliable and can't give them a night off. Freddy was spotted an early 4-0 lead tonight and couldn't even give us 6 innings.
  19. I mean yeah Bush is to blame for this loss, but if our offense wasn't so bad that our 4 highest leverage guys were unavailable because of overuse then Bush is never in there so this indirectly falls on the offense as well.
  20. Why are you continuing to compare the 2011 team to a team that is 14 games under .500 on July 1st and has one of the worst pitching staffs in the MLB?
  21. Number of pitches thrown the last 5 days. Payamps - 61 Williams - 61 Milner - 38 Peguero - 37
  22. He's thrown 35 pitches the last 2 days, so I don't think they will.
  23. Agreed which is why I think this ends with a loss. We likely don't have any of our top 4 bullpen guys available tonight. Just Pannone, Bush, Wilson.
  24. The Cardinals suck dude. They have zero intent on actually winning at this point and trotting a completely washed Wainwright out there every 5 days so he can get to 200 wins is all the evidence needed to prove they have no intent on winning at this point.
  25. I genuinely would rather move Freddy to the bullpen and keep Houser in the rotation at this point. Freddy is totally unreliable.
